what is the longest lasting lip filler?

What is the longest lasting lip filler?

S

Samruddhi Bhartiya

Member of team ClinicSpots.

Answered on 23rd May '24

The results of lip fillers can last between 3 months to 2 years.

To know how long what type of fillers can last, see our table.

InjectionMinimum duration
Restylane24 weeks
Juvaderm24 weeks
Vollure72 weeks
Volbella48 weeks
collagen12 weeks
Silicone FillersLifetime

Factors that affect the longevity of results:

  • Areas on the lips that got injected: if areas with more movements, in general, receive injection, then fillers tend to get dissolved sooner in such cases.
  • Metabolism of your body:
    • Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance, so with high metabolism, they get dissolved sooner.
    • Same is true for collagen which can decompose and turn into peptides before getting dissolved.
      • Click here to know more about how you can exercise after getting lip fillers.
  • Lip treatments: Have the potential to disperse fillers.

when can i exercise after lip fillers?

Answered on 23rd May '24

Short answer - avoid strenuous exercises for 24–48 hours after getting lip filler.

To know why, read ahead!

  • The same may increase the flow of blood to the lips and increase body temperature, thus aggravating any swelling, bruising, or discomfort.
  • May cause you to sweat profusely, thus increasing your risk of developing an infection at the site of injection.
  • Stick to light walks or low-intensity exercises in a cooler environment
  • Avoid contact sports and high-intensity exercises, even yoga, or just any activity that exerts a lot of pressure on your face.
  • Swimming can cause infection as the bacteria could get into your skin through pores.
  • Exercising can also increase your metabolism which could affect the longevity of your results.

Hope this answer satisfies your query. You can call our support line or visit our thorough listicles on surgeons in Turkey and India.

when can you eat after lip fillers?

When can you eat after lip fillers?

S

Samruddhi Bhartiya

Answered on 23rd May '24

  • You should eat food after 2 to 4 hours of getting lip filler treatment so that your anesthesia wears off.
  • Avoid eating messy food for at least 24 hours, as you don't want to wipe your lips (for an added layer of safety, it would be better if you waited 2 weeks before resuming with messy food).
  • You have to be cautious with straws as well.

We hope this clarifies your inquiry.

when can i drink after lip fillers?

When can i drink after lip fillers?

S

Answered on 23rd May '24

  • Avoid drinking any fluid including water: For 2 to 4 hours post lip fillers treatment till the time your fillers wear off.
  • Avoid using strawswhile drinking beverages as you dont want to displace fillers with the pressure exerted by them.
  • Avoid alcohol: For 24 hours minimum. It acts as a blood thinner, which increases the probability of bruising & inflammation and has a dehydrating effect.
  • Avoid hot beverages: Until anesthesia wears off and your sensation is restored, as your lips would still be numb and thus would also make you prone to burning sensation, which would worsen swelling.
  • Tip: You should drink plenty of water and stay hydrated after getting lip filler treatment.

We hope that you find our answer insightful.

is sclerotherapy painful?

Is sclerotherapy painful?

S

Samruddhi Bhartiya

Member of team ClinicSpots.

Answered on 23rd May '24

Sclerotherapy does not generally hurt, but as this procedure requires injections, thus it can get painful at times:

  • Some chemicals known as sclerosants are injected, which cause pain. Especially If they get deposited outside the vein into the surrounding tissues.
  • Sclerosants irritate the targeted vessel, causing them to swell and cut off the flow of blood or lymphatic fluid, thus forcing the vessels to shrink.
  • If not pain, some patients still experience discomfort or cramping during the procedure, but these symptoms diminish quickly.
  • Most patients are able to return to their daily activities immediately after undergoing this procedure.
  • Take acetaminophen-based pain medicine such as Tylenol to treat any pain or discomfort following this treatment.
  • Elevating legs in an appropriate manner will help deal with post-sclerotherapy pain as well!
