Overview

Patient Name: Sabina

Country: Bangladesh

Age: 47

Treatment: Ovarian cancer treatment

Hospital: Kokilaben Hospital Andheri

Doctor: Dr. Sandeep Goyle

Sabina was a 47-year-old woman from Bangladesh who reached out to ClinicSpots in October 2022. Our medical representative consulted her about her condition and advised her to start her treatment at Kokilaben Hospital, Andheri, Mumbai. Medical oncologist Dr. Goyle from Kokilaben hospital was arranged for consultation by our medical representative.

When she arrived at Kokilaben Hospital in October 2022, Dr. Goyle advised her to undergo 6 cycles of chemotherapy before undergoing surgery to remove the tumor. Due to her chemotherapy cycles being 21 days apart, Sabina had to travel back and forth from Bangladesh for her treatment.

Despite the challenges of traveling, Sabina's PET CT scan after the 6th chemotherapy cycle showed progress and the effects of the chemotherapy was very positive. Dr. Goyle, upon reviewing the scan reports, was pleased with the progress and was ready to proceed with the surgery.

On January 12th, 2023, Sabina underwent the surgery to remove the tumor. The surgery was successful and Sabina was advised to remain in the hospital for a few days to recover. However, during her stay, Sabina's health started to decline as her hemoglobin levels dropped.

This is where the ClinicSpots team stepped in to help again.

The doctor had advised that Sabina would need three bags of blood and the hospital does not allow international patients to donate blood due to government guidelines. Sabina's family was unable to donate blood, so she reached out to the ClinicSpots medical representative for assistance.

The ClinicSpots representative, along with a field staff member, went to Kokilaben Hospital to donate blood for Sabina. They were able to provide two bags of blood which helped stabilize Sabina's condition.

Thanks to the timely intervention of the ClinicSpots team, Sabina's health improved, and she was discharged the next day. She returned for a follow-up visit the next week and was pleased with the treatment she received. Sabina will now be returning to Bangladesh, with the hope of a full recovery.

The story of Sabina's journey serves as a testament to the dedication and commitment of the ClinicSpots team to provide the best possible care for their patients, even in challenging circumstances.
