Subject: Formal Complaint of Mental and Physical Harassment by Dr. Rakesh Pandia Dear Raj Hospital Administrator / Medical Board Daftary Road Malad East 97, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Dr. Rakesh Pandia and his team, who practices at your hospital, Raj Nursing in Malad East. My family and I have undergone significant mental and physical harassment due to his unprofessional behavior and negligent treatment, and I believe this matter requires urgent attention!!!! Details of the Incident: 1. Neglect and Unprofessional Conduct Dr. Pandia exhibited a blatant disregard for patient care by not listening to our concerns regarding my wife’s pregnancy. As experienced parents, expecting our third child, we noticed his communication was often negative, lacking empathy, and dismissive of our worries. This created immense anxiety and mental stress, leaving us in constant fear for the well-being of my wife and unborn child for 3.5 months. 2.Unjustified Admissions and Charges On two separate occasions, my wife was admitted under Dr. Pandia’s care without sufficient medical justification, costing us over ₹40,000, along with additional medications amounting to over ₹10,000. We have strong reasons to believe that these excessive medications were prescribed to benefit certain medical representatives who incentivize doctors with personal perks like overseas trips, cash benefits, etc. This has caused us financial strain on top of emotional trauma. 3.Refusal to Accept Payment via Credit Card Dr. Pandia insists on cash payments, which raises ethical concerns. Despite offering to pay by card, we were repeatedly asked for cash, which adds to the suspicion of malpractice or inappropriate financial handling. Mental and Emotional Distress The distress caused by Dr. Pandia’s approach left my wife and me mentally traumatized for over three and a half months. His lack of empathy and care led us to feel unsafe under his treatment. We were scared to continue his services and had to seek alternative medical advice to ensure the health and safety of my wife and child. Request for IMMEDIATE Action against him. - I request a thorough investigation into Dr. Pandia’s practices, especially concerning the unjustified admissions, excessive billing, and prescribing of expensive medications. - I also demand that the hospital address the mental and emotional trauma we have been subjected to under his care. - If the hospital fails to take corrective action, I reserve the right to escalate this matter legally and publicly. We believe that doctors should uphold the highest ethical standards, especially in matters as sensitive as pregnancy. If Dr. Pandia continues practicing under such questionable practices, it could endanger more patients. You are also a son and father of somebody right? How can you play with patients emotions so much??? Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. We hope for a swift and fair resolution on as soon as possible.
