I am suffering from hemifacial spasm. I want to cure it permanently. Pls help
Female | 38
A hemifacial spasm causes one side of your face to twitch involuntarily. This happens when a nerve gets irritated in your cheek area. Although uncontrolled facial twitching is unpleasant, treatment options like Botox injections or surgery exist. These can help relax the affected nerve, stopping the spasms. Such treatments aim to provide relief, improving your quality of life. So do not lose hope, as permanent solutions are available.

I have epilepsy from 10 years
Male | 23
Long-time living with epilepsy can be extremely complicated, but let's together solve this problem. Epilepsy is an explosion of electrical signals in the brain that results in seizures. These seizures can have different consequences, for example, you can be shaking or losing control of your body. Medicines are mainly used to manage epilepsy, and it is important to take these medicines the way your neurologist tells you to. Moreover, living a balanced healthy life can also be supportive in the treatment of epilepsy.

I have got a migraine And I am having trouble speaking, my voice is not coming out and I am having a headache
Female | 27
It is known that migraines are conditions that cause severe headaches and may also affect your speaking. The causes of your discomfort might be, among others, stress, dehydration, or lapses in your usual routine. One recommendation that I have is to find a place where you can rest quietly and be in the dark and try using a cold compress on your forehead. If you can see that the pain is relieved by water and taking the pain relief pills, you are on the right way. Still, in case of the worsening or the persistence of your speech problems, the care of the neurlogist should be sought without delay, since they can give you the necessary support for your condition.

I am diagnosed with myasthenia gravis with mctd. My pet ct has some abnormal findings I need second opinion
Female | Shubha jolly
Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune condition that affects muscle strength, leading to fatigue and weakness. Mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD) can also contribute to these symptoms, as it encompasses various autoimmune features. Abnormal findings on your PET scan can be concerning, but a second opinion is a prudent step. I recommend discussing your results with a neurologist who specializes in these conditions. They can provide tailored insights and potential treatment options to ensure comprehensive care.

Paralysis of legs due to Bone tb Treatment is going on(6months) Reports ESR test suggests that the infection is very low now
Male | 47
It is a gradual process, and it might take some time to observe meaningful results. But the low ESR test is a good sign, therefore meaning that infection has been controlled. I recommend a neurologist consultation to assess the nature and origin of paralysis which can be treated accordingly.

I am 52 years old, male. I have a tremor only in my right hand for 4 years and it has been diagnosed as Parkinson's. Which therapy methods are suitable for me? Is stem cell therapy an option for me? I would like to receive advice. Best regard
Male | 52
Your Parkinson's tremor has caused a shaking hand on your right side as the doctor has identified. This can make you shiver, get stiff muscles, or have difficulty with your movements. Parkinson's treatment is the administration of drugs, physical therapy, and as a rule, in a small number of cases, also surgery. Even though research has been done regarding stem cell therapy it is not regularly practiced as a primary therapy for Parkinson's. Follow the prescribed therapies that your doctor gives you.

What or might make me have an headache and when am relaxing hear sounds like heart beat or the clock ticking at the back of my head
Male | 24
If you hear your heartbeat or other sounds in the head, you may have a condition known as pulsatile tinnitus. This may be caused by increased blood flow near the ears or changes in the blood vessels. It can also be associated with headaches at times. Keep track of any other symptoms you may experience and consult a healthcare professional for proper diagnosis and treatment guidance.

I am 25 years old, I am an epilepsy patient, Can I reduce my medicine ? I took medicine for epilepsy since I am child I didn't get seizure often , in 2019 I am get seizure Sir , is it cure or not ?
Female | 25
In case you are suffering from epilepsy, ensure that you adhere to the doctor’s prescription regarding your medication. It is still important to keep taking medicine even if you do not get many seizures as this will help reduce chances of more occurring. Medication manages seizures; it does not cure them though. Always remember that it is necessary to consult a neurologist before changing any of your drugs.

Hello! I am 30 years old and i have vertigo around 2 years now. Always coming and goes but is back again after a month or two. When it comes i might have some attacks for a week or so. Now i had 9 vertigo's in 2 weeks and the last one just made me feel horrible. I have a headache and cant hear very well from both ears. I have noticed when i have sex with my partner after i finish i get vertigo 3 out of 10 times. I had made lots of check ups also gone to two doctors for my ears and also neurology and orthopedic saw my check ups and said they are fine. I dont know what else to do in order to stop it.
Male | 30
Those problems can be caused by numerous reasons that may include the inner ear, the vestibular system, or even stress. The good news is that previous investigations were negative for any significant underlying causes. Try keeping a symptom journal that will assist you in figuring out possible triggers. Besides, balance exercises and stress-reduction techniques might help. I suggest that you should consult a neurologist about various diagnostic options and treatments that suit your case the most.

I’m a 26 year old female who is a diagnosed epileptic. I have been taking 200mg of lamotrigine since January. However I’m still having frequent seizures and cluster seizures so I’m looking to see if I could get an additional medication prescribed alongside the lamotrigine to support my symptoms and gain more control over my seizures.
Female | 26
It’s important to tell a neurologist about those symptoms again. Sometimes taking another medicine such as levetiracetam or valproate can help to bring seizures under control. These drugs act in different ways to help lower the chances of having a seizure. Your doctor will be able to advise you better on what treatment plan will suit you most appropriately.

I have a huge headache all the time
Male | 30
You're dealing with a persistent headache, which can be tough to endure. Common causes include stress, dehydration, or lack of sleep. It might also stem from eye strain or tension in your neck and shoulders. To help, try drinking more water, getting enough rest, and practicing relaxation techniques like deep breathing or gentle stretching. If the headache persists, consider consulting a neurologist for further evaluation.

I am 28 years old male. I am having severe throbbing headache on the sides of the head as well as on the eyes. I also have swelling on my eyelids. i have extreme headache when i bend down or sneeze/cough. I also have nausea and vomited x3-4 times today
Male | 28
It may sound like you have a condition known as sinusitis. Sinuses get inflamed when spaces around the nose are filled with too much mucus due to colds, flu, allergies, or other conditions. This can lead to pain in your head especially when you lean forward or cough/sneeze; it also causes swelling in the eyes, nausea, and vomiting. To feel better try using warm packs on your face and take pain relievers that can be bought over the counter. Keep yourself well hydrated and rest enough too. In case these signs don't go away, you should see a doctor who will check them out further and treat them accordingly.

My child is suffering from severe headache everyday I had gone through all the checkups Even ct scan, mri But all reports are normal
Male | 11
If all the tests, like CT scans and MRIs, are normal, there might be different explanations for the headaches. Sometimes, stress, bad sleep, dehydration, and eye strain can be the causes of headaches. Tell your child to drink water, get enough sleep, deal with stress, and take a break from screens regularly. If the headaches continue, it's vital to consult a neurologist for more evaluation and guidance.
