• In 2005, the first Awake Open Heart Surgery, closing a large hole in the heart of a patient, was performed by the Cardiac Surgical department of KIMS. This surgery marked the first case in Kerala and the second in India.
• Several awards have been received by KIMS Global, including the Health Tourism Award for maximum foreign exchange earnings, the Modern Medicare Healthcare Excellence Award in 2006, the AV Gandhi Memorial Award 2007 for excellence in Cardiology, the Golden Peacock Award 2013 for Business Excellence by the Institute of Directors, and the Star Health Insurance Award for Best Service Provider in 2014, among others.
