Questions & Answers on "Pulmonologist" (398)
This question is about my mother, 60 years old, with influenza type A that unfortunately led to viral pneumonia. She's hospitalized for the past 4 days, her flu seems to be subsiding, but the pneumonia is not. I am worried and I just wanted to know if she's gonna be alright doctor.
Female | 60
Viral pneumonia takes longer to get better compared to the flu. I’m glad that she is recovering from the flu. Symptoms of pneumonia include difficulty breathing, productive cough, and chest pain. To cure the infection, antibiotics will be administered among other drugs. She needs to have enough rest and time too. Therefore, follow the doctors’ instructions and be patient with her.

Sore throat with phlegm. Sometimes uneasiness in breathing ie near throat
Male | 21
These symptoms are usually due to a common cold or throat infection. Your body is trying to defend itself by removing the pathogens. Sipping warm liquids, resting, and using a humidifier can help you feel better. If the symptoms worsen or last too long, see a pulmonologist for proper treatment.

Female | 25
Various factors such as anxiety, muscle strain, or serious health problems like heart issues or respiratory conditions can all give us unpleasant bodily sensations. The key to getting well is to be in touch with your body; these issues need attention and proper evaluation by a specialist. I suggest asking for medical help urgently to make sure that the pulmonologist examines you thoroughly and recommends the appropriate treatment.

Medications for TB commonly bring about changes in mood such as crankiness. Having junk meals while under TB drugs could worsen the situation. Ensure your brother eats nourishing food. If he still gets angry easily, you should consult his doctor.

So i am female 25 Years old..i have gerd but without pain..i have been little ill about 2-3 weeks ago and i still cought but with spotum i have picture od my spotum im scared is that normal? I smoke about 4-5 cigarettes a day.
Female | 25
It's understandable to be concerned about your symptoms. Coughing with sputum can indicate a respiratory infection or irritation, often linked to smoking. The presence of sputum is normal; however, it’s wise to monitor its color and consistency. Persistent issues warrant a consultation with a pulmonologist for proper evaluation. Quitting smoking would greatly enhance your lung health and reduce symptoms. Staying hydrated and considering over-the-counter remedies may help alleviate discomfort.
