No, Stem Cell Transplant isn’t a cure. It just causes multiple myeloma to go into remission. It can come back as time passes by in the future.

Stem Cell Transplant improves the overall survival on an average of 12 months. Nevertheless, for patients with multiple myeloma stem cells remain an important part.

Can stem cell cure high blood pressure?

Male | 48

So far stem cell therapy is not an established cure for high blood pressure. The evidence seems to suggest that stem cells may potentially have applications in the area of cardiovascular health and yet, the precise mechanisms involved as well as how effective it is could be used when treating hypertension are not fully understood. Current high blood pressure treatments are mainly through lifestyle changes and drugs to control the condition. It is important to discuss this matter with medical specialists in order to look at more verified and proven methods of regulating blood pressure, as the use of stem cells for managing it is not very advanced yet.

60 days after bone marrow transplant, what to expect?

Male | 43

Sixty days after a bone marrow transplant, you can expect several changes and milestones. The initial weeks are critical for monitoring engraftment, where the transplanted cells start producing new blood cells. Blood counts are closely monitored to assess recovery and potential complications. During this period, patients often continue with strict infection control measures, and immunosuppressive medications may be adjusted based on the individual's response. Regular follow-up appointments and ongoing support from the medical team are essential during this crucial phase of post-transplant recovery.
