You might have been affected by an infection with a virus that has in turn caused a blood infection which in turn may cause joint pains in your legs. Antibiotics can disrupt the equilibrium of our body's good bacteria, causing joint pain. For relief of the joint pains, you can try gently exercising, using heat or ice treatment, and taking a break. Stay well-hydrated and eat fresh and good foods to provide adequate support to your body during the healing process.

I want to know , a chemotherapy patient takes 3 chemo then after 3 days later she has too much fever and pain in stomach. What should I do.
Female | 47
Fever and stomach pain are two of the most common causes of chemo. The fever may be due to the body's immune system being weaker after treatment. Stomach pain can be the result of medication cavitation in the digestive system. It is crucial to reach out to the medical team immediately for help with these symptoms. They may prescribe medicines to decrease the fever or stomach pain. Drinking plenty of water and sleeping will also help.

What if iron readings are normal except % transferring saturation - 12% and result shows disease Ferritin transferring TIBC Iron. Hb - 11 for female
Female | 32
This may suggest that your body lacks iron. With insufficient iron levels, tiredness, weakness, and dizziness may be felt. In women, it could lead to low hemoglobin levels (Hb - 11) thus giving rise to anemia. You are, therefore, required to include foods high in iron such as red meat, beans, and leafy greens in your diet to enhance your iron levels. Further advice may necessitate taking iron supplements based on the orders made by your doctor. Also, there should be regular check-ups so that suitable directions are provided and tracking done.

You might have a sickle cell crisis happening. Sickle-shaped blood cells can clog vessels, blocking oxygen. Headaches, stomach pains, and vomiting signal this crisis. If vomit's green or yellow, it's bile from your stomach. Head to the hospital for treatment.

CBC report is normal Dengue and malaria test Both negative CRP 34.1 Very high Doctor prescribed me, some medicines Relating to fever and pain killer I am feeling night sweats.
Male | 28
You are experiencing a hard time caused by that fever and high CRP level. Night sweats are one way for your body to show that it is fighting an infection. A high CRP may be a sign of inflammation in your body. Your doctor prescribing you fever medicines and painkillers is the correct way. Do not forget to rest properly, drink plenty of fluids, and listen to your doctor's orders.

I've been sick for months , my white blood cell and t cells are abnormal but primary not doing anything about it
Male | 51
Your blood tests showed weird white cells and T cells. Those cells fight germs. So weird counts may mean your immune system isn't working right. Being tired, sick often, and losing weight for no reason - those could be signs too. Visit a hematologist to get proper treatment.

So my friend has her blood test done recently as she was having low fever, cough, shivers and vomitings. The report showed that she has 57.03 U/dl of CRP after the medication as well it continued to increase to 74.03 CRP although the symptoms such as fever, cough, shivers and vomitings have reduced just wanted to know if such levels of CRP are severe and life threatening or not cause we are worried
Female | 19
A high level of C-reactive protein (CRP) in the blood, even after medication, can be a sign of persistent inflammation or infection in the body. If not treated, this could become a danger. The good news, the symptoms have improved, but the increasing levels of CRP are a reason for concern, as they indicate that the problem needs to be investigated further by a doctor to determine the underlying cause and ensure appropriate treatment.

This may be followed by pain in your joints, swelling, and ruddiness of your skin. For this, foods rich in purines, obese individuals, and those who have certain medical conditions are factors that trigger its occurrence. Drinking a lot of water, eating a nutritious diet, and consulting a hematologist for medications are some of the things you can do to lower uric acid levels.

You’ll need to stay in the ICU so your condition can be monitored closely until your platelets increase. To help with your recovery, make sure to get plenty of sleep and eat healthy food.

I would like to have my blood test result be explained to me. Thank you
Female | 60
One of the crucial parts of your well-being is your capability to interpret blood analyses. Usually, these outcomes are the source of several pieces of information, among them vitamin amounts, the equilibrium of hormones, as well as signs of inflammation and infection. Disorders like chronic discomfort, tiredness, and weakness can be regarded as typical consequences of a certain hormonal imbalance. Discrepancies, on the other hand, might come from a wide range of reasons including poor nutrient intake through cardiology to some internal blockage. It’s the duty of the doctor to enumerate the results which patients require to be aware of and to advise them according to their particular situation.

Male | 24
A fever that comes and goes could be an infection. The chills, sore throat, and blood test results support this too. Your MCV was low, MCHC high, and TLC raised - signs something's not right. Don't worry though, infections are common and treatable. But you must rest up, drink lots of liquids, and eat nutritious meals. See a doctor soon as antibiotics might be needed to help you heal faster.

Hello doctor I have a very challenging question here for you to help me with. Do you have to extend the duration of PEP for HIV prophylaxis to more days if the patient got another exposure on the 6th day while taking the regular 28 days dosage regimen. He had so far reached the 6th day of taking his PEP and got anothet exposure. So should we add more 6 days on top of the remaining 22 days. Thanks Laurence
Male | 26
If a person on HIV PEP experiences another exposure to the virus on the sixth day of treatment, it is of the utmost importance to consult a doctor. They will consider the situation at hand very carefully and consequently decide this case. Quite sometimes, they might find it adequate to prolong the treatment duration according to personal circumstances for optimal safety. Never forget that open and honest communication with your healthcare team is the crucial component of the best possible care.

Some individuals may not need a transfusion at all. Signs and symptoms of alpha thalassemia may include fatigue, weakness, or paleness of skin. Treatment may consist of symptom management such as taking supplements or drugs that stimulate the production of more red blood cells within the body. Please consult a doctor for individualized advice.

I am 18yrs old......my gender is female....I have so many dizziness and I was test my haemoglobin and it's is 18.6 is this high or low
Female | 18
A hemoglobin level of 18.6 is already a high value. This may be what is behind your dizziness. In addition, high hemoglobin can also result in headaches and red skin. It might be dehydration, lung diseases, or heart problems. To decrease hemoglobin levels, drink more water, refrain from smoking, and work out regularly. Iron-rich foods such as broccoli and beans can also help.
