Why Do I Have Fever, Chest Pain, and Anxiety?
Hey doc. I've been sick for the last two months to be exact it started on the 5th of October my body felt cold so I went to bed my family woke me up because I was groaning in pain and had a high fever i felt chills on my hands and feet they took me to the doctor I was told my platelets where dropping and that I might have dengue fever I was on drips 3 days out of the week for that week I couldn't stomach anything throwing up anything I ate I also had diarrhea. the following week I was forcing myself to eat even a half slice of toast I was given augmentin and auropan when those antibiotics finished I was still having fever and chills so I was prescribed more antibiotics. However on the 30th october I had to be rushed to the hospital my chest was tight my heart was pounding and I was getting a feeling of numbness and pins and needles in my hands and feet my chest straight up to lips the hospital did a CT scan, ECG , thyroid test ? And found nothing was wrong they claimed I had anxiety Wich I never suffered with in my life they did say I had an infection since then my chest and back has been hurting alongside fever and headaches i also woke up with a pounding heart i went back to my personal doctor with these results and she said the same that I could be allergic to the antibiotics and stress on top of that could of caused the anxiety/panic attack and she said I could also have IBS that's causing the diarrhea .she pulled me off the antibiotics and prescribed apo alpraz to help anxiety and high blood pressure that appeared out of nowhere. I never suffered with high blood pressure but now my BP is constantly around 149/96. I've been a heavy smoker for 8 years maybe a little over a pack a day I drastically cut down at the moment attempting to quit however it's hard to keep my job or even get the energy to do day to day tasks at the moment. Any advice or tests you believe I should run would be greatly appreciated.

Your symptoms such as fever, chills, chest pain, and high blood pressure can be caused by different complications. One of the reasons could be your body’s responding negatively to the antibiotics you use. A response to the drugs or anxiety might be the cause. It's wonderful that you are reducing smoking. You should consult a cardiologist for a heart checkup. You can also ask for a complete blood count and liver function tests.
