Why do I have lingering left chest pain?
Hi I am 21 years old male and I have chest pain in left side from last 4 months. So while story is around ending of June I feel my chest heavy after sleeping so I don't some stretching to feel better. In beginning of July I hardly stretch my chest after that I feel that pain while any movement related to chest like looking backwards from left side, bending forward and then back to standing position, lying on bed from my right side, doing excercise related to left chest. There is no pain while coughing and sneezing. On October 2 I visit physician and he said may be it is a muscle pull so he gave me some medicine like Sompraz L, Probiprime, Banidor calcium tablets, instaraft solution, olmed Ome Q10 softgel capsules, for 10 days and nucoxia mr for 5 days after taking these medicines sometimes I feel relieved sometime not. After 5 days I revisit same physician and he replace nucoxia mr with myoril 4 mg capsules, enzoflam tablet and DFO GEL. NOW my pain is not sharp than before.I want to know what is this problem and am I taking a good treatment or not. Provide me any recommendations if any.Thank you

You may have a chest muscle strain, likely caused by overstretching or sudden movements. The muscle relaxants and anti-inflammatory meds prescribed are meant to help manage it. Glad to hear the new meds are easing your pain. Avoid activities that worsen it, and try gentle stretching. If the pain worsens or new symptoms appear, see your cardiologist for a check-up.
