Hi. I've a question regarding my niece's skin problem. She is a 7-years old. She has developed red patches of skin on her cheek, chin and around nose. The affected area of her cheek is very dry. I brought her to a doctor who prescribed two creams, mezoderm(betamethasone) and gentamicin-akos which made things far worse. Then at the pharmacy I was advised to use ftorokart(also a cream with triamcinolone) for my niece's face. After a few uses of the cream, I've seen some noticeable improvement in her skin condition since she started to use it. It took the redness out of her nose. But she still has rash and blisters on her face. I took photos of her face in case it might be helpful for you to identify the reason for her skin condition. Here are the photos of hers: https://ibb.co/q9t8bSL https://ibb.co/Q8rqcr1 https://ibb.co/JppswZw https://ibb.co/Hd9LPkZ Would you mind helping us to identify what caused this skin condition?

You need to see a skin specialist ( dermatologist) for it to understand the underlying cause of this condition and proper management. Please don’t use drugs directly dispensed by pharmacist without advice of a qualified doctor.

According to the symptoms and signs described, it appears to be a case of atopic dermatitis which is common among children of the mentioned age. It is a condition where the skin barrier is disturbed and is extremely sensitive to external environmental triggers like cold and dry weather, dust etc. It presents as red dry itchy patches on cheeks, hands and legs sometimes whole body. The above mentioned creams contain topical corticosteroids which are to be used with a great caution under the supervision of Dermatologist. Good barrier repairing creams including emollients with squalene, ceramides etc can help reviving the skin barrier. Steroid sparing drugs can be prescribed to manage the rash. Please consult a qualified Dermatologist and do not use topical corticosteroids without doctor’s advice as it may cause many adverse effects.

Stretch marks often appear during growth periods like at 19. They're reddish, itchy bands from your expanding skin. Having them on just one side is normal too. Gentle moisturizers may ease the irritation. Drink plenty of fluids.

You're having breakouts and little lumps on your face that got worse even when you took medication for them. These ailments can be caused by the pores in your skin being blocked with oil and the dirt that enters them. Make sure your face is washed with a gentle exfoliating cleanser daily. Moreover, avoid getting too close to your face. If you have the same problem, meet a dermatologist for the correct diagnosis and treatment.

I understand you're dealing with skin itching. Itching can occur when your skin becomes dry and rough, often due to not drinking enough water, using harsh soaps, or cold weather. To manage it, make sure to drink plenty of water, apply moisturizer gently, and avoid harsh soaps. Also, protect your skin from the cold by wearing gloves and scarves.

Why im getting dry it by skin in patches
Male | 54
Your skin may be dehydrated in patches. This could be due to many reasons, such as a lack of moisture, harsh soaps, or skin conditions like eczema. Dry skin can feel rough, scratchy, or even fissure. To help, try washing your kids' hair using a soap that is formulated for them. Use a thick cream or ointment which you should apply daily for at least a week. Also, drink plenty of water. If you do not see an improvement, visit a dermatologist.

Persistent Sweating in hand palm
Female | 21
Excessive palm sweating happens. Sometimes it comes from stress or hot weather. Sometimes, a medical issue causes it. Some people sweat more than others; that's okay. Using hand antiperspirants helps. Also, you could ask a dermatologist about treatments.

What medication can I take to cure the infection (itchy rashes on my private part and yansh)?
Male | 20
A rash affecting your intimate areas may indicate a yeast or bacterial infection. This condition is widespread, so there's no need for embarrassment. For treatment, a doctor could recommend an antifungal cream or antibiotic ointment. Maintain cleanliness and dryness in the affected region. Wear loose-fitting garments. Refrain from scratching to expedite healing.

I'm 19 years old, I had irritation in my inner thigh thought to be thigh chaffing, it stopped then had a surgery for ovarian cyst removal surgery. After a week I had a watery profuse discharge from down there with a weird bad smell stopped after 3 days but caused severe irritation in my inner thigh and labia majora. Went to a dermatologist (and that was 3 months ago) he prescribed for me daktacort thrice daily and triflucan 150mg once weekly as I had tinia cruris (not sure of spelling). My skin got better but I still have slight irritation in my labia majora and minora and white solid like discharge in the middle of the day (not sure if it's okay) my dermatologist told me to continue till my symptoms stop completely and add 2 weeks but I have doubts about the dose and prescription because I didn't think it would last this long. Please help me relief my doubts.

It's normal for such infections to take time to fully clear, and its natural your dermat's advice to continue treatment until symptoms disappear for an additional 2 weeks. Maintain good hygiene and follow up with your dermatologist if you have ongoing concerns or questions about your treatment. Seek a second opinion from a gynecologist

Female | 17
Boils are caused by infected hair follicles and can be painful and swollen. To help them heal, apply warm compresses to the area at least three times a day. This can reduce pain and help the boil drain naturally. Keep the area clean and avoid squeezing or picking at the boil, as this can worsen the infection. If the boil does not get better or gets bigger, it is a good idea to consult a dermatologist for a check-up and treatment.

My daughter has a small raised bumps on her Arms and legs my gp won’t see her until next week
Female | 8
From what you say, your daughter may be a candidate for a common skin condition called keratosis pilaris. It leads to small, raised bumps on the arms and legs. Potentially, these bumps may be rough and can be either red or flesh-colored. Keratosis pilaris is the result of the skin cells blocking hair follicles. Suggest her to use a scrub and moisturizing creams to help skin improvement. Stay away from rubbing or scratching the bumps. If the bumps don't disappear or get more severe, take her to a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis.

Hi Doctor, I have pain and swelling on my left buttocks. It feels like a pimple, but atleast the size of a golf ball.
Male | 31
You are suffering from a band called pilonidal cysts. These swellings may lead to discomfort and soreness in the rear end. Pilonidal cysts are the results of hair follicles blocking each other. If you are looking for natural remedies, you can use warm compresses and over-the-counter pain relievers to ease the pain. It is recommended to visit a dermatologist for the right diagnosis and treatment.

I have taken vaccine for dog scratch D0 and D3 in May 6th 2024 andMay 9 th 2024,today my cat scratch my hand again. Should I take the vaccine again.
Female | 21
If your cat has scratched you recently, you must know that the dog scratch vaccine does not prevent scratches from cats or other animals. You received the dog scratch vaccine in May but it will not protect you from cat scratches. If you see any scratch site symptoms, redness, swelling, or warmth, especially if it worsens, go to a dermatologist. They may suggest an alternative treatment plan based on your particular situation.

Male | 16
The probability that you are suffering from a condition called balanitis is highly tangible. It is an issue, where a person gets red, swollen, and small sores on the penis. It could arise because of improper hygiene issues, allergens, or soaps that contain harmful substances, or as a result of a fungus. If it concerns you can consult a dermatologist for treatment.

Lesions on pennis , like cuts and skin was ruptured
Male | 24
You might get them from rough handling during sex, infections, or any skin conditions. People get cuts on their penises in many ways. To heal them, you need to wash the area and protect it from getting irritated more. You can also use a plain skin cream without perfume in it. If it does not get better or it gets worse, see a dermatologist right away.

The most likely cause is acne or ingrown hair. Accordingly, look for creams with active substances like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid to help them go away. These can be found in different brands, including Neutrogena and Clean & Clear. Gently wash your face first, before applying the cream.

Fungal infections, poor hygiene, or chemical irritants can cause balanitis. To reduce symptoms, maintain cleanliness and dryness in the affected area, avoid products that may cause irritation, and use an OTC antifungal cream. If there is no improvement, seek medical attention from a dermatologist.

Female | 18
You may be experiencing a condition called nipple eczema. This might make patches of white skin around the nipple. It may also itch or hurt sometimes. Allergic reactions, harsh soaps, or dry skin can be reasons for the nipple eczema. In addition, use mild and unscented products on your breasts and use a good quality moisturizer. If it's persistent, you should also approach a dermatologist for more preference.

You Suggest Me that i can get cleanup on face because I am teenager
Male | 19
Most youngsters need a face cleanup. When you see that your pores are clogged, whether it is blackheads, or pimples, the cause of these things can be either dirt, bacteria, or skin oil production. Aside from that, do not forget to cleanse your face twice a day with a mild oil-free cleanser, to make your face glow and not raise the probability of skin infection, use a face moisturizer and do not keep touching your face.
