You may have costochondritis. This means the cartilage in your chest is inflamed. Symptoms include chest pain which gets worse with movement or deep breathing. It can be caused by heavy lifting, coughing a lot, or sleeping awkwardly. To ease the pain, rest, apply heat to the area, and take over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen. If the pain continues or becomes more severe, see a cardiologist for further assessment.
