After delivery, I have anemia, low pressure, dizziness, weakness. It has been a year. I am taking iron and calcium tablets continuously. Nothing is happening. What to do now. Please advise.

Female | 22

You've been feeling exhausted, lightheaded, and nauseous after childbirth. These could be signs of anemia, which means your body doesn't have enough healthy red blood cells. Even though you are on iron and calcium tablets, they may not be enough. It's important to have a blood test to see if you need a different type of iron or if something else is causing your symptoms.

Male | 34

After treatment for Bilharzia, feeling weak and losing appetite is common. Medicines used can cause these side effects. Weakness happens as the body fights infection. I am having red mucus in colour, please consult a doctor

Female | 21

Red mucus is often a sign of bleeding in certain areas of your body, such as the nose, throat, or stomach. If it’s coming from your mouth, it could be related to a lung issue. This might be caused by an infection, irritation, or a more serious condition like pneumonia. It's important to see a doctor for an evaluation. They may run tests such as blood work, X-rays, or a bronchoscopy to identify the cause. Treatment for the bleeding will depend on its source, so it's best to get checked as soon as possible.

I did lft test on Friday and my globulin level is 3.70 and now Tuesday after 4 days I did again lft test and globulin level is 4 I am so scared it increasing what should I do

Male | 38

A minor rise in your globulin level in the blood profile is not usually a cause of concern. Globulin is a protein in your blood that serves as a defense against infections. The levels of this protein may at times, be affected by factors such as dehydration or infections. No need to panic if you have not noticed any change in your health or you have not developed any unusual symptoms. Consume enough water and a healthy diet of fruits and vegetables. If you observe any new symptoms or if this continues, consult with your doctor for further advice.

Being a little anemic, tiredness, paleness, and shortness of breath may appear. Ingesting foods that are packed with iron such as spinach, meat, and beans can be of great help to this client. Another piece of advice may deal with more iron supplements, they will. Follow the suggestions given by the medical doctor to recover completely.

My hemoglobin report 8.2 and my esr 125

Male | 37

According to your test results, your hemoglobin level is low, which can cause symptoms like feeling tired and weak. The high ESR number could mean that your body is inflamed. From simple ones, such as anemia, to complex ones, such as infection-are sorts of them. If you want to take your hemoglobin to the right levels, you may have to take in more iron-rich foods by way of diet. Plus, do not forget that the root cause of inflammation is there and lower your ESR count. To improve your hemoglobin, you may need to eat more iron-rich foods, and addressing the underlying cause of inflammation can help lower your ESR level.

Female | 58

Your WBC count is slightly low at 3.73; RBC is normal at 4.57. NEU is also lower at 1.78. Low WBC suggests weaker immunity, making infections more likely. Have nutritious meals, ample sleep, stay hydrated. If unwell, see a doctor for examination and guidance.

I am loosing weight continuously and getting slim like anaemia patients skin is so dull and sagging and I feel dizzy sometimes, get tired easily can't sit longer because my blood cells stops working so I have to move every moment

Female | 23

Anemia results from a deficient number of healthy red blood cells in the bloodstream. Low red blood cells mean asthma, dizziness, and quick weight loss. Your skin can also become pale and saggy. More spreadsheets with foods high in iron such as spinach and beans are advisable. Your doctor can also give you iron pills to increase the number of red blood cells.

I had unprotected sex last in 2022, I did a hiv test last year October 2023 and tested negative,I wasn't exposed to any sexual activities,do I need to get tested again ?

Female | 26

If you had unprotected intimate relations in 2022 and your HIV test was negative in October 2023. You are not required to take another test as long as you haven't been risky since then. HIV symptoms sometimes show up late, so if you feel something out of the blue, like inexplicable weight loss or too many infections, then it's good to get tested again.

What is aids Can you explain how hiv falls in anyone

Male | 20

AIDS stands for Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome. It's a severe condition that is unable to be healed, which is caused by a virus called HIV. HIV, which is the root of AIDS, weakens the human immune system. It is for this reason that the body can not ward off infections. Among the many symptoms of AIDS, the main ones include rapid weight loss, frequent fevers, and extreme tiredness. The most preferable treatment option is to explain HIV through the use of protection drugs during intimacy and not to use needles.  Early screening and taking the required medications could help manage the virus.
