I am 19 years old. I have pigmentation around my mouth.what should I do now.can you give me any cream please

Pigmentation is a condition that can be compared to skin getting a different tone in some areas. It may be caused by environmental factors like the sun, changing hormonal levels, or it is sometimes the skin's natural characteristic. A cream infused with ingredients such as niacinamide or kojic acid would help to lighten the pigmentation. Remember to wear sunscreen every day to improve your skin health.

How long does contact dermatitis last

The contact dermatitis can last a long time. It depends upon the nature, frequency and duration of the exposure to the allergens. If the exposure to the allergens continues it might take very long time. If the exposure to the allergens is stopped then it will be recovered quickly.

Good day sir , my wife is feeling pain since one week now where they injected her , the spot is hot and little strong, and it's paining her serious ,I have use ice block and close up , but the spot is still hot and little stronger

Female | 20

Your wife is likely to have an infection at the injection site. The symptoms such as heat, pain, and redness are caused when the bacteria get in. The area needs to be cleaned gently and the healthcare provider must be consulted. Antibiotics may be recommended to eliminate the infection. Do not use ice or cover it up without advice as it may aggravate the problem.

Is there a chance to be caught by Hiv if someone's diabetes needle pricked my hand

Female | 19

The likelihood of HIV infection is negligible if a diabetic needle pricks your hand. HIV is transferred via blood, however, the needle prick is not a high-risk exposure. If you are concerned, watch out for symptoms such as flu, fever, or rash. If you see them, go to a doctor.

Itching, redness and sticky dandruff in beard. From last 10+ years. Issue resolve when clomatrizole applied but this time clomatrizole is not working. Want some generic ointment as can't afford expensive treatments.

Male | 35

You are suffering from a long-term problem with your beard itching, redness, and sticky dandruff. A skin condition seborrheic dermatitis may be the cause. Occasionally, the use of antifungal ointments like clotrimazole can be effective, but if this is not the case, you might want to use an ointment with hydrocortisone to decrease inflammation. Remember to wash and dry the area that is affected as this will help with the symptoms.

Can you wear acrylics nails for a tonsillectomy

Female | 15

Acrylic nails aren't recommended before tonsillectomy surgery. Those fake nails could harbor germs, making hand hygiene tricky. During tonsillectomy, doctors remove tonsils, often due to infections or breathing issues. Clean hands prevent surgical site infections, so natural nails are only for this procedure. Wait until you've recovered fully before getting acrylics again.

I think I have herpes what should I do

Male | 22

Herpes is a common virus. It causes itchy, painful sores. These blisters often appear around your mouth or private parts. You can get it through close contact. Herpes may seem bad, but doctors can give you antiviral medicine. Using protection during sex helps prevent spreading it too. Good hygiene habits are also key.

I have acne on my face and I tried many different treatments but nothing works. How can I treat them

Female | 21

Acne is one of the most prevalent skin problems, and it can be treated in several ways. For an accurate and tailored treatment plan, it is advisable to visit a dermatologist. They prescribe topical medications, oral antibiotics, or other treatments based on the degree and type of acne. I recommend you to make an appointment with a dermatologist so that you can discuss your case properly and get the best treatment for your condition.

Please I've been over sweating this past week, I don't know why. I sweat a lot in sunny conditions, but this time it's soo much worse I don't know why. My height is 5 feet 5 and my weight is 90kg. Please what do you think the problem is?

Female | 22

Hyperhidrosis may be warned by profuse sweating, specially in sunny days. But one must rule out any underlying medical condition such as thyroid or inflammatory disease. I advise you to visit a dermatologist for assessment and diagnosis. They can offer treatments and guidance on the condition’s management.

Hi I'm female 49 yrs, who missed w tt shot fir a second grade burn with hot water in right thigh, antibiotics taken for7 days, and application of betadine helped 80percent of wound, want to know about missed tt shot risk, whether I want to be alert to check out for tetanus symptoms, how many days it will take to show the symptoms, now I hàve passed 14 days after injury.please reply

Female | 49

Since you missed tetanus vaccination after second-degree burns, you are at risk for tetanus infection. The symptoms may be visible within 3 to 21 days, usually at 7 to 10 days. Tightness of muscles, spasms in the jaw, and difficulty in swallowing are some of the symptoms that one may experience. If you notice these signs, you should seek medical attention at once. The tetanus vaccine can, however, be administered after an injury to avoid infection.
