Could PCOS be causing my pigmentation, hair loss, and irregular periods?

I am 22 years old female. I have pigmentation on my cheeks. I suffered from hair loss in 2022. The hair fall has stopped but I got androgenic alopecia (male pattern baldness). My weight is 40 kg. I don't have acne. My periods are regular. But this month blood flow was very less on 3rd day of menstruation. I am afraid are all these related to PCOS?

Answered on 29th July '24

The symptoms you mentioned, like pigmentation, hair loss, and irregular periods, could be related to PCOS. The underlying cause of these symptoms can be hormonal imbalance. You need to visit a doctor who will make a diagnosis and will offer treatment options.

Am diabetic since 15 years. BP normal as am taking medication. I take insulin Actrapid 100 u 14-3-10 and toujeo 28-0-0 along with Sitagliptin OD 100. fp sugar 140-160 ,PP 210-220. I feel dizziness in evening between 6 and 7. That time sugar level is 140-160. Is it because sugar variation. If eat something dizziness goes. Is it because of insulin

Male | 73

Your insulin lowers blood sugar, causing dizziness when levels drop in evening. Eating raises blood sugar, helping dizziness. Consume snacks before 6 pm to test if it improves. Persistent dizziness requires discussion with healthcare provider. Small adjustments may make big difference. Frequent monitoring helps regulate sugar fluctuations. Maintaining stable levels prevents dizzy spells. Seeking medical guidance ensures proper care.

However, a professional checkup for these symptoms is a must. Please contact a doctor so that they can guide you to the correct diagnosis and treatment. Best wishes for a quick recovery!

Mera b12 2000 ho reha hai sir isko kam kese kre

Male | 28

The B12 level of 2000 is too high. Possible side effects of high B12 include dizziness, nausea, and skin rashes. It may be due to over-supplementation or certain health conditions. To lower it, avoid B12 supplements and foods that are rich in B12. Water is an excellent conductor of waste and thus helps you eliminate excess B12 from your body. Get re-evaluated after a few weeks to check if it's normal again.

Hy i am Shama Pawha i have irregular peroid , acne problem, hair fall , and also i have thyroid problem.

Female | 25

Irregular periods, acne, hair fall, and thyroid problems can be related to each other. Thyroid issues can interfere with your hormones, thus causing period and skin problems. Hair loss could also be caused by thyroid deficiency. Checking up with a doctor for your thyroid levels and being treated for it can help normalize the situation. They may prescribe specific medications or suggest other treatments to ameliorate the symptoms.

This is a gland in the neck that can cause tiredness, weight gain, and loss, or feelings of anxiety and depression. When too much or too little hormone is produced by this organ these symptoms may arise. To confirm the diagnosis, go for some blood tests at the doctor’s office. If there is an issue, don’t worry – there are treatments available that will help to balance the levels of thyroid hormones within your body.

Hello I am 20 years old since I was child I always have just a little energy for example when start to run after a few minute I feel very tired . I have a normal weight and height. I got a test now I know that I have subclinical Hypothyroid . I want to know it has a cure.

Male | 20

You seem to be having subclinical hypothyroidism. This illness is not transitory, and, hence, thyroid function also decreases; this is an example. The most common symptoms are fatigue, weight gain, and cold bones. It is good to have your tests done and know the cause. The procedure generally includes taking thyroid medicines that can help balance you out. Often, they manage to bring you improvement and give you a lot of energy.

Hi, I am premaltha 27 year old i have thyroid issue.. i need consultation on my recent test report. Result is t3 :133, t4 : 7.78 and tsh 11.3..

Female | 27

From your test results, your thyroid is not producing enough desired functional capabilities. This can bring about warning signs like fatigue, weight gain, and sensitivity to cold. A high TSH level indicates that thyroid hormone production needs to be regulated again. The doctor may advise you on the kind of medication to take that works best for you.

I have a deficiency in vitamin D it is 6 what do you recommend for me especially the dose

Female | 10

Your Vitamin D level of 6 is quite low, and it's important to address this. Usually, doctors recommend a high dose of Vitamin D supplements, often around 50,000 IU once a week for a few months, followed by a maintenance dose. However, it’s best to consult an endocrinologist for the right dosage and treatment plan for your specific needs.

Sir my c-peptide test results 7.69 And my hb1c 5.2 Feeling empty stomach and weekness and low suger I am non diabetic

Male | 45

Based on the symptoms and test results, it appears that your body might not be producing enough insulin. This is known to cause low sugar, weakness, and hunger. Even if you’re not diabetic, such problems could be related to insulin. Attempt taking small frequent meals high in protein and fiber. Seek further assessment and advice from a doctor if these symptoms persist.

I'm a 35-year-old female with hypothyroidism. What kind of diet should I follow to manage my condition better and maintain a healthy weight?

Female | 35

Hypothyroidism refers to a condition where the thyroid gland does not produce enough of the thyroid hormone. You may gain weight easily, feel tired, and have difficulty concentrating. To combat your problem and to maintain a healthy body try to have balanced food. The best way to include them in your diet is to concentrate on whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Sweet stuff and processed foods must be out of your sight. Eating right can have a significant effect on your metabolic rate and the overall performance of your body.
