Why do I feel a life-threatening beat near my heart at 51?
I am a 51 years old male. I have been experiencing a discomforting and life threatening beat around my heart area. A feeling that can be likened to that of fear even when I ain't scared of anything. I have visited the hospital severally for this reason. I have done series of test and X-ray which results I have but the doctor couldn't give me a significant explanation as it pertains to this complain. Please ????????????????doctor help me, this feeling is life threatening.

This might be caused by something called anxiety or panic attacks, which make your heart beat fast and give you a scared feeling even when there’s no reason to be afraid. These attacks can be so frightening but they won’t hurt you. You should talk to your cardiologist or a mental healthcare provider who can teach you how to cope with them.
