Worrying About Heart Disease with Rheumatoid Arthritis

Patient's Query

I have had 8 ecg's and 2 chest x-rays that are all fine and troponin bloods that were fine too. however I still worry I might have heart disease as I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis for 25 years. I worry a lot about things like this. Every sensation I feel in my chest I feel like it's going to be something bad. Am I being over anxious

Answered by Dr. Bhaskar Semitha

Concerns are understandable, especially with ongoing conditions. Positive test results can be reassuring. Rheumatoid arthritis often increases vigilance. Chest sensations can have many causes beyond heart issues. Regular check-ups, exercise, a balanced diet, and good stress management help maintain heart health and reduce anxiety.
