Right-side chest pain can occur due to various causes. Overexerting during exercise can lead to sore muscles. Heartburn might cause a burning sensation. Pleurisy, the inflammation of the lung lining, can also be a reason. Identifying the cause involves considering other symptoms. If the pain worsens with deep breaths or coughing, it might be pleurisy. Heartburn is often accompanied by a sour or bitter taste and a sensation in the throat. Pain that intensifies with movement could indicate muscle strain. If you are concerned, see a cardiologist.
