Why is my blood pressure high after quitting smoking?

I have stopped smoking and today is the 9th day I haven't smoked. but 4 days earlier my BP has suddenly increased to 200 so they gave me a pill to reduce the blood pressure. The day after tomorrow my BP was 150/90 in the morning so they gave me a pantop injection saying its normal gastric. On that afternoon, my BP was 160/90. today my BP is 170/98. Is it the effects of stopping smoking or restlessness?

When you quit smoking, your body changes, which may affect your blood pressure levels. One possible explanation for increased hypertension is that it may arise due to stopping smoking. It's vital to keep monitoring your BP regularly. Calming methods should be attempted along with maintaining contact with the physician for appropriate advice.
