Should I worry about penis curvature?
I’m concerned about a penis curvature
Urologist
Answered on 23rd May '24
An erect penis often curves slightly. However, significant curving makes intercourse difficult or painful, indicating Peyronie's disease. Scar tissue in the penis causes this condition. Symptoms involve pain, erectile dysfunction, and penile curvature. Consult a urologist if experiencing these symptoms.

I am an 18 year old male who is training to be a professional cyclist. I have had a varicocele in both testicles for a number of years now. I had it checked by doctors a few years ago, however it was during COVID so they didn't want to remove them and said there was no need. I was wondering if I should now look into getting them removed and if they could be having any impact on my athletic performance e.g limiting testosterone?
Male | 18
Varicoceles are dilated veins and can be surgically corrected if necessary. As a professional athlete it may be beneficial to discuss with your urologist whether varicocele surgery is appropriate for you and if it could improve your athletic performance.

I m 32 Yr female.. my periods are regular always so we plan about baby and I miss my periods 14 days ago I have all symptoms of pregnancy but test is negative and suddenly I'm bleeding and belly pain.. I'm bleeding when I going to pass urine not other time. What does that mean m I pregnant or what?
Female | 32
Stress or hormone issues can impact your cycle. The negative pregnancy test suggests no pregnancy, but checking with a healthcare provider is best. Bleeding while peeing could mean a urinary tract infection, which can cause belly pain too. These infections are common and treatable with antibiotics prescribed by a urologist.

You may have phimosis, which is the situation when the skin on your privates is too tight, making it impossible to pull it back. This can bring about complaints such as using the bathroom with pain or difficulty. Phimosis can be a consequence of infections or uncleanliness. The good news is, there are treatments that can help, like using creams or sometimes surgery. Discuss your options with a urologist to determine the best course of action.

Hello sir, I have genital herpes and would like to have sex with my wife using a condom. Does using a condom during sexual contact with my wife increase the risk of infection? Would you kindly assist me in responding?
Male | 44
Using a condom during sexual contact with your wife is a good step in reducing the risk of transmission of genital herpes, but it's not a foolproof method. Talk to a urologist for preventing the risk of spreading the virus to your partner.

You may have had a penile fracture. This can happen if your erect penis is bent suddenly and forcefully, leading to a snapping sound. Symptoms may include immediate pain, swelling, bruising, and difficulty urinating. It is important to see a urologist as soon as possible. Surgery may be necessary to correct the problem and prevent long-term issues.

I'm 23 year old man. I'm having a mild pain and discomfort radiating from right lower back to right testicle. Today I only feel it in testicle...and not in back
Male | 23
You might have a condition called epididymitis, which means there's swelling in the tubes near your testicle. The pain you feel could also spread from your lower back to your testicle. This can happen due to an infection or an injury. To feel better, you should rest, use ice packs, and see a urologist for proper treatment.

Hi. Im a 22 year old and had received unprotected oral sex from a woman on 18th of april this year. I have been diagnosed with epididmyl orchitis. I have received doxycycline and ceftriaxone( rocephin ) for 10 days in which my pain was gone but soon after completing medication my pain is back. My urine RE and CS reports are clear and show no bacterial growth. My urethral swab shows “ normal flora growth “ but i still have extreme pain in my scrotum. I went back to my doctor and he gave my levofloxacin for 7 days 500mg daily and anti-inflammatory medicine but that brought me no relief and i am confused on what to do.
Male | 22
This type of testicle pain normally can be from an infection or other problem. It is usually treated with antibiotics such as doxycycline or ceftriaxone but if these don’t work then further investigation is needed. More tests or different treatments might need to be done if you continue feeling unwell. However, the most important thing is to talk to a urologist constantly until they find out what will help most with this issue.

I’ve been urinating frequently and having back pain for months now and I don’t perform well on bed like before
Male | 20
Frequent urination and back pain may indicate a urinary tract infection (UTI). UTIs occur when bacteria enter your bladder, resulting in discomfort, urgency, and potential sexual difficulties. Consuming significant water and seeking medical antibiotics proves highly beneficial. Delaying treatment risks exacerbating symptoms, so proactively address this health concern with a urologist.

Sometimes after I masturbate I get an urge to pee which lasts from half an hour to an hour. And when I pee I feel burning sensation.
Male | 18
This could be due to irritation of the urinary tract. Masturbation can sometimes lead to increased blood flow and stimulation in the genital area. To address this, it's advisable to drink plenty of water to flush out any irritants and consult with a urologist. Additionally, urinating before and after masturbation can help flush out any potential irritants and bacteria.

I am 42 years old, I feel burn at the tip of my penis, Cipro and doxylag is given to me. Before all this I take STD treatment but not cured, feeling came back. What shall I do? I am stressed now, have no sleep, please help me.
Male | 42
The stinging at the end of your penis could be an indication that a previous treatment that didn't completely work has still been around, an infection, for instance. This should be dealt with as it can cause further issues. The tension and sleep deprivation can also worsen the situation. I suggest you talk to a urologist to talk about your signs and symptoms and get other treatment alternatives.

Epididymis simple cyst of 6mm
Male | 24
This is like a tiny, innocuous bubble that tends to form around your testicle. Generally, you won’t feel anything, but it might be a slight ache if you do. These small ones develop from time to time without any particular reason. Pay attention to it and visit a urologist.

I went for a routine STD checkup today. I was asked to give my oral swab , anal swab , urine sample and blood sample. For the first three ones I was in the bathroom. The thing is I forgot to disinfect my hands after touching the bathroom door knob after closing and locking it. When I proceeded to take my oral swab with a long stick, my fingers somewhat touched the inside of my mouth. Not too inside but somewhat. After that I also touched my penis with the same hands while giving the urine sample. Am I at risk of contracting stds because of the fact that I forgot to disinfect my hand after closing the bathroom door before taking the swabs?
Male | 26
Do not worry. You have touched your own body, if infection is in side your body, then it's already inside. Hospital bathrooms are generally sanitized regularly. if you are still want to confirm bout the infection then you can visit urologist for physical consultation

My mother age is 89 years old, since last one week she is having less urinal and having burning sensation. She is also taking High blood pressure medicine and Thyroid 100 mcg medicine, what we can do for slow slow urinal problem,
Female | 89
This might mean that she has a urine infection, particularly since she is old and has other health problems. Older individuals are more susceptible to bladder infections. To get rid of bacteria, ask her to drink more water and then take her to a urologist for a urine test.

Mere testis me pain hai or penis me bhi lagbagh 2 months
Male | 22
Enduring testicle and penis pain for around 2 months isn't normal. This lingering pain demands attention. Infections or inflammation often cause such prolonged discomfort in these areas. Consulting a urologist is vital for proper examination and testing. Early treatment can alleviate the pain swiftly and prevent any potential complications from arising later on.
