Will high cholesterol heredity affect my heart health?

My father died of a heart attack and from what I saw in his tests, he had high cholesterol, he was 56 years old Question... can I also have heart problems in the future, is it hereditary? If so, what advice do you recommend to reduce cholesterol? Thank you!

The occurance of heart problems can sometimes correlate with genetic predispositions in families. Apart from the directly affected cholesterol levels, one may also be at risk of heart issues due to high levels of cholesterol. Symptoms may include chest pain, narrow perfusion of blood vessels in the lungs, and general body weakness. Genetic predispositions and unhealthy habits, mostly poor diet, are among the leading causes of this condition. To reduce cholesterol, eat healthily, such as more fruits and vegetables, exercise regularly, and quit smoking.
