Why is My Grandpa Experiencing Shortness of Breath?
My grandpa had a heart attack and we admitted him last week now he says he feels shortness of breath?

Breathlessness occurring after a heart attack to the patient can be attributed to the heart possibly having insufficient pumping, which, in turn, causes fluid to build up in the lungs. This is usually associated with difficulty in breathing. Other symptoms seen in such a case are tiredness and coughing. It is good to inform a cardiologist of this cause. Consequently, prescription drugs or other treatments may have to be modified to help him more efficiently.
