Can I Switch to Liquid Amlodipine for Low Heart Rate?

Patient's Query

My mother is 65 years old . She takes amlodipine tablet. But suddenly sometimes her heart beat gets low. She want liquid form of medication she don't want to take tablets

Answered by Dr. Bhaskar Semitha

The cause of this is a low heart rate that may be due to taking too much amlodipine. Dizziness or tiredness may be the symptoms. The liquid form of amlodipine may not be an option, but the doctor can suggest other alternative medicines.
