Why Is My Penis Hurting During Urination Today?

My penis starting hurting this morning when I went to go pee

Answered on 27th May '24

You might be having a urinary tract infection, this occurs when germs enter into the pee area and it causes pain when peeing. Additional symptoms include feeling like you need to go often but only a little comes out or cloudy smelly urine. Ensure you drink plenty of water then visit a urologist who will give you some medicine to help clear it up.

Hi, can having a pimple on my penis be a signficant risk factor for HIV infection if I engage in vaginal sex? (With condom, the risk being fluids leaking into pimple)

Male | 33

The risk in such a case is quite low..Condoms are highly effective in reducing the risk of HIV transmission and other STIs when used correctly and consistently. But there is still a small possibility, so consult a doctor.

He had given me evion(vitamin e), zincovit(multi-vitamin) , limcee(vitamin c ), Dutarun(Dutasteride .5mg) and mintop(minioxidil 5% ) for this. It's been 3-4 months now. I'm not sure about this but I think I'm now having issues maintaining a stable erection. Please guide should I stop the Dutarun medicine and what should I do to recover from this issue.is it recoverable or the damage is permanent

I am 48 year male, had UTI symptoms one month ago, I have taken antibiotics, there is a relief but problem still remains, frequency of urination is more than one in an hour,

Male | 48

>He needs elaborate history taking and examination with few investigations. Male UTI at this age is considered as complicated UTI, that means it has some underlying problem which needs to be taken care of . It could be because of enlarged prostate, urethral stricture or underactive bladder. Mostly at this age it is prostate enlargement. It can be treated medically or surgically depending on patient symptoms and investigations. For other causes like urethral stricture, it might need to be corrected surgically. Underactive bladder is managed differently. So, please see a urologist.

You need examination by a urologist for further evaluation to check why tingling in penis is happening and start the treatment accordingly.

I'm 26 years old, I've left testicular atrophy from 12 years I didn't take a treatment from any doctor and didn't visit, now I wanna take consultation about my this problem. What should I do?

Male | 26

You should visit a urologist as soon as possible since this might lead to lower fertility and levels of hormones for you. They'll be able to give the necessary advice and treatment concerning your particular case.

I'm having erectile dysfunction during sex. I can't maintain an erection during the sex and I get tired as if I have ejaculated even when I did not. I also have lower back pain.

Male | 32

Experiencing erectile dysfunction and having lower back pain can be related, but it's necessary to consult with a urologist or an experienced doctor for proper evaluation. ED can have physical or psychological causes, while lower back pain can stem from various factors. A urologist or sexual health specialist can assess your symptoms, determine the underlying cause, and recommend appropriate treatment options. Seeking medical advice is crucial for an accurate diagnosis and personalized guidance.

I am 24 years old and having pain in my penis glans left side whenever i touch it or rub it from past few weeks my family doctor gave me some pain relief tablets but its not healing pain is still the same.

Male | 24

The discomfort felt exclusively in the glans may occur due to several conditions such as infection, inflammation, or even sensitivity. Consult a urologist for a  physical examination and suggest some specific tests that are purposed to disclose the underlying problem. Treatment of the symptoms only, as in this case, is done before the etiological investigations are concluded. Refrain from irritants and practice good hygiene to help ease the pain.

Treated STI with gentamicin it reoccurred then treated with streptomycin and it has reoccurred again . Please help

Male | 27

When it comes to sexually transmitted infections (STIs), the bacteria might not be fully eliminated by antibiotics. Having a test could identify the right medication needed. Visit a urologist as they can help you with proper treatment plan. In some situations, a more potent antibiotic or combining different treatment becomes necessary to clear the infection completely. But don't forget, practicing safe sex is crucial for preventing future infections.
