Answered on 12th Sept '24
Based on the CBC report for your son, it reads that his red blood cell count is elevated. Sometimes, this leads to headaches. The other test results yield normal values, which is a positive thing! In my opinion, a doctor's consultation is necessary to delve more into the issue of an elevated RBC count and the occasional headaches, ensuring that the child receives proper treatment.

I have sickle cell. Feeling headache and stomach. I'm vomiting greensh yellow
Male | 6
You might have a sickle cell crisis happening. Sickle-shaped blood cells can clog vessels, blocking oxygen. Headaches, stomach pains, and vomiting signal this crisis. If vomit's green or yellow, it's bile from your stomach. Head to the hospital for treatment.

My uric acid test report 5.9 please tell me ok not ok
Male | 29
The uric acid level of 5.9 is already above normal. It might remain asymptomatic at first, yet if untreated, it may lead to gout, which is characterized by pain and swelling in the joints. Your uric acid level can be decreased by drinking more water, avoiding alcohol, and less red meat and seafood. Besides this method, exercising regularly may also be beneficial.

I am 52 years old and after I received my blood test report it's microfilaria positive..would you please suggest few medicines?
Male | 52
Microfilaria are the tiny worms that transmit malaria by mosquito bites. Often, the signs of sickness are fever, skin itching, and fatigue. Skin itching, fever, and fatigue are some of the most common signs of the disease. The primary medicine used for the treatment of microfilaria is the drug diethylcarbamazine (DEC) or ivermectin. These drugs aid the body's worm destruction. However, I strongly advise you to consult a hematologist about the exact dosage and duration of treatment.

My age is 22 and my esr level is 65 is it normal or serious
Female | 22
An ESR level of 65 indicates increased inflammation in your body. While it's not normal, it doesn't automatically mean something serious. Common reasons for elevated ESR include infections, autoimmune disorders, or chronic illnesses. You may or may not experience symptoms such as fatigue or fever. It’s essential to discuss this result with your physician, who can further evaluate your overall health and recommend necessary tests or treatment.

hi Dr,I went for a blood test some time before and some of my tests came out high.such as lym p-lcr, mcv ,pdw, mpv ,rdw-cv are high and some are low mchc, platelet count,And I am facing many problems like anxiety, night fever, leg pain' losing weight day by day : Does this indicate any diseases
Male | 20
Your blood test results have come back as abnormal. Generally, high levels of lym p-lc, MCV, PDW, mpv, and rdw-cv, in the case of low MHC and platelet count, can indicate various conditions. Your symptoms of anxiety, night fever, leg pain, and weight loss are bothersome. These abnormal results and symptoms may be linked to health issues such as anemia, infections, or inflammatory conditions. A doctor's follow-up is necessary for detailed diagnosis and treatment of the problem.

Hello I did a blood test it showed all normal but my MPV (mean platelet volume) is 12.37 fL (normal range 7.45-10.84) and eosinophil is 9.59 %. Only thing is I have eczema but I’m not sure if this is the cause for the raise eosinophil. I had a flu/cold last week should I be concerned??? Feeling anxious. My platelet count is 192. When I did a blood test in August my eosinophil was 0.1 and platelet count 150
Female | 25
It’s understandable to feel anxious after seeing those results. An elevated eosinophil count can indeed occur due to conditions like allergies or infections, and your eczema might contribute to this elevation. Additionally, a recent cold can influence your blood profile as well. Your platelet count is within a normal range, which is reassuring. While these variations may not indicate a serious issue, consulting your physician for personalized advice is always a wise step. They can provide insights tailored to your health history and current symptoms.

Female | 33
High ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) and CRP levels can indicate inflammation in your body. Common causes include infections, autoimmune diseases like lupus, and certain cancers. It’s important to work with a doctor to find the right solution and address the root cause. Treatment will depend on the underlying condition and may involve medications, lifestyle changes, or further testing.

Hello I did blood test and everything is normal but eosinophil is 9.59% and absolute eosinophil count is 0.79x10^3/ul and mean platelet volume is 12.37 fl The above r higher than normal range What could be the reason and what should I do?? Platelet count is 192 I am 168 cm and 48 KG
Female | 25
Elevated eosinophils can indicate allergic reactions, infections, or other conditions. Your slightly higher mean platelet volume may suggest changes in platelet production. Generally, these findings are not alarming but can indicate underlying issues. Symptoms such as itching, swelling, or respiratory problems could be related to allergies. I recommend discussing these results with your physician, as they can offer personalized advice and determine if further evaluation is needed.

Having inflammation after a blood transfusion is one possibility, as your body might reject the new blood. Some of the symptoms are swelling, redness, or warmth. The reaction to the allergy or the mild side effect could be a reason. It is vital to watch over your symptoms closely. The best things to do are drinking plenty of liquids and resting. Yet, if inflammation continues or gets worse, you might want to notify your healthcare provider, who can give you your own advice and treatment.

Am 16 and I am severely underweight and really low iorn like it's 74.4 and my hemoglobin droped from 14 to 10 and too i feel dizzy many times and also get sick very frequently like 2 to 3 times a month
Female | 16
It’s important to address your symptoms, including dizziness, frequent illness, and low iron levels. Being underweight can contribute to a range of issues, particularly fatigue and weakness, as can anemia, indicated by low hemoglobin. Common causes include inadequate nutrition or underlying health conditions. To help improve your iron, consider a balanced diet rich in iron sources like leafy greens, lean meats, and legumes. Pairing these with vitamin C can enhance absorption. However, I strongly encourage a visit to a hematologist for a thorough evaluation and personalized guidance.
