What's the Best Medicine for Skin Allergy?
Best medicine for Skin allergy

Cosmetologist
Answered on 26th Feb '25
Skin allergies can manifest as rashes, itching, redness, or swelling. They often result from reactions to substances like certain soaps, foods, or pollen. Over-the-counter antihistamines and topical creams may relieve symptoms effectively. However, identifying and avoiding the triggering allergen is crucial. If irritation persists or worsens, I recommend consulting a dermatologist for a thorough evaluation and personalized treatment plan. They can suggest appropriate medications and help you gain a clearer understanding of what might be causing your reaction.

40 year old female shaved and used a cucumber baby wipe been itching every since 2 weeks now
Female | 40
The cucumber baby wipe might have reacted with your skin causing the itch. This means the itch can be as a result of irritation or an allergy. To calm the itch down, try using a mild moisturizer that does not contain perfume. Stop using any more products on the affected area for now. If the itchiness continues or becomes worse, it would be best to see a dermatologist.

I am a 39 year old woman and am having an issue with my skin on my chin for the last 2 weeks. After friction from making out with someone new. He did not have a beard. Maybe slight stubble but really not noticeable. My skin became raw and I put Vaseline on it and neosporin. After about a week acne started appearing. I changed my regimen to a salicylic acid ointment and moisturizer. It seems to help a bit but not a lot. My skin is less raw but still splotchy and red with acne. I have not ever struggled with skin issues. Should I keep up the acne treatment? Should I do something else? It peels and is uncomfortable (it stings with the ointment but once it dries it doesn’t hurt but it does bother me). I’m traveling in Brazil now but am from the US. Any help appreciated before I head home! I plan to see a dermatologist PA when I get back.
Female | 39
Your skin seems irritated by friction. The rawness, redness, and acne result from that. Using salicylic acid ointment helps acne. Continue applying it. Gently wash your skin, moisturize too. Consult a dermatologist for guidance.

I have alots of pimple and dark spots over the face
Female | 24
Pimples sprout when oil and dead cells clog pores. Red bumps might ooze sometimes. After pimples heal, dark marks linger. For help, wash your face twice daily with gentle cleanser. Don't pick pimples. Non-comedogenic lotions and products deter breakouts. A dermatologist offer creams or procedures to tame acne and dark spots.

Hi madam naku after delivery pigmentation. Dark spots vachayi eliteglo cream use cheyacha mam iam feeding mother babu ki 14 months
స్త్రీ | 35
Post-delivery pigmentation, often due to hormonal changes and sun exposure, is common among new mothers. Using skincare products like Eliteglo cream can sometimes help, but it's essential to check the ingredients for safety during breastfeeding. For best results, consider applying sunscreen daily and stay hydrated. Maintaining a healthy diet with fruits and vegetables may also support skin health. If pigmentation persists or worsens, consulting a dermatologist is advisable for tailored treatment options. Remember, taking care of yourself is important too.

I AM 29 YEAR MALE MY NOSE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE MOLE WHAT SHOULD I DO
Male | 29
Moles on your nose seem ordinary and usually don't cause harm. Their appearance could stem from genes or being exposed to sunlight. If these moles maintain their size, shape, and color, there's typically no reason for concern. Still, monitoring them closely and using sunscreen to shield your skin remains advisable. If any changes occur, consult a dermatologist.

I have bumps on my pubic area.. some are big and some are small. Sometimes there are open cuts around the bikini area that just pop up out of nowhere and bleed.. i just want to know what this is and is it curable
Female | 21
You might have something called folliculitis, which is a pretty common condition. This is when the hair follicles get infected and it causes bumps with sometimes open cuts. Wearing tight clothes or shaving can both cause this by a rubbing or friction though. Treatment involves keeping the area clean, not wearing tight-fitting clothing and applying warm compresses. If these things don’t work then definitely see a dermatologist.

I am 21 year old male,, and i have no beard,, what i should do now?
Male | 21
Generally, 21-year-old guys can have varying facial hair, from full beards to barely any growth. Don’t worry if you don’t have a beard yet. Your body may still be developing, which can affect facial hair growth. Hormones play a big role in this process. By eating a balanced diet, exercising, and getting enough sleep, your hormone levels can remain balanced, supporting beard growth. If you have concerns, it’s always a good idea to consult a dermatologist.

Post acne erythema and macular erythematous scars are common in few individuals as the acne subside. Sometimes underlying Rosacea component may also contribute to redness. Oral isotretinoin itself can cause mild erythema as long as the drug is taken if sunscreen is not used appropriately. Quasi long pulse mode of QS yag laser, topical drugs like topical Ivermectin, metronidazole for underlying rosaceaetc are prescribed by the Dermatologists. Please consult a Dermatologist for the same.

Male | 29
Acne is a result of clogged pores, bacteria, and surplus oil. However, wash your face two times a day with a mild cleanser. Do not squeeze the pimples because they will become much worse. Additionally, using medications containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide will also do the trick.

Male | 21
You are dealing with a penile skin infection. Among the symptoms you mentioned, itching, redness, and dryness are the most common signs of this type of infection. The causes could come from fungus or bacteria. For treatment, you should start with the habit of keeping it clean and dry. Another option could be to use over-the-counter antifungal cream, but if you are not getting better, it is best to go to the dermatologist and get more treatment.

Can I take tetanus injection 4 days after a minor surface scratch on a finger without blood coming out. There's a little redness and pain. I continuously applied handwash and a common antiseptic cream 2-3 times daily since the injury. Now can I take tetanus injection today or am I good?
Male | 26
Cleaning a scratch often with soap and cream is smart. Small cuts can allow tetanus germs inside. Tetanus makes muscles tight and jerky - dangerous. If injured, take the tetanus shot within one to three days. Since it's been four days and your scratch is red and hurts, get the shot today to be secure. That shields you from risks.

I am 24 years old girl . I have low vitamin d3 when I get it checked in February and from that time I m taking supplements . All other things are normal .But after 5 month itself my hair fall does not stop at all.I m suffering from high hairfall .
Female | 24
Sometimes not having enough vitamin D3 can cause people to lose their hair. You should keep taking the vitamin D supplement as the doctor told you. You should try to eat more foods that have iron and protein in them as well. One thing that might help is finding ways to relax when you are stressed.

My auntie is 61 years old, she has been having these open injuries, i suspect it to be skin ulcer. She has been taking antibiotics like Amosiklave 625mg and Itacare. Although she stopped recently. She's in pains and can barley walk.. please should she continue and what else do you recommend.
Female | 61
Open wounds can be painful and may indicate an underlying issue like a skin ulcer, often caused by factors such as poor circulation or prolonged pressure. While antibiotics may help prevent infection, she must seek medical attention to assess her condition properly. Continuing medications without guidance could be ineffective or harmful. Encourage her to visit a dermatologist who can provide a tailored treatment plan, possibly including proper wound care, pain management, and further evaluation.
