Future scope: On 27th Dec, 2023, Govt announced the start 1st ever criticare department in govt hospital, over here. It would have state-of-the-art systems, including an ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) machine.

  • Carried out over 20,000 cardiac procedures, including angioplasty and pacemakers. In 2022 they performed a rare emergency surgery, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), on a 69 year old patient. This surgery is done in very few government hospitals.

Beneficiary services: Poor patients receive treatment worth 108 crores annually through RCC. 80% are covered under schemes, and Children below 18 get free treatment.

Future Scope: Will have a new 14 floor building (Rs 200 crore project)

It will be the 1st Public sector institute to introduce robotic surgery. Rs 30 Crores allocated.
