Questions & Answers on "Cardiologist" (204)
Hi, I have been experiencing chest pain since Nov'18. Post which I have done 7 ECG test, a stress test and the results were normal. I was advised hyperactivity medicines, however the pain never stopped. I met a Gastroenterologist, who confirmed no issues. Than I met a cardiologist who suggested for 2D echo, did it, it was normal. Then I did sonography, stage 1 fatty liver observed. Than did angiography, no blockages observed, however the blood flow is slow. Now I am left with nothing... The chest pain still persists, post angiography I also feel numbness in my left arm. Don't know what to do. I was recommended following medicines post angiography... strovas Dilzem sr Pan 40mg I have already started following a proper diet. Avoiding junk food, extra salt, oil etc. This has started affecting my work and i am unable to deviate from the thought of the pain
Chest pain can have various causes, even if initial reports appear normal. Potential reasons include:
Musculoskeletal Issues: Strained muscles or costochondritis may cause chest discomfort.
Gastrointestinal Conditions: Acid reflux or gastritis may mimic cardiac pain.
Psychological Factors: Stress and anxiety can contribute to chest pain.
Respiratory Issues:Conditions like pleurisy or inflammation of lung lining.
Nerve Irritation:Conditions affecting nerves in the chest may cause pain.
If chest pain persists or worsens, consult with a cardiologist for a thorough evaluation to rule out serious conditions.

My mother suffering with DCMP LVEF 20â„…. Now very weak. Please suggest best and guaranteed medicine for early relief so that EF can early increase. Also advise diet and related precautions. Thanks
Female | 51
There is no such guaranteed medicine for DCMP LVEF. And to start the course of treatment, physical examinations and tests are required. For a healthy diet, you can include lots of fruits, vegetables, lean meats and whole grains. Meditation, light exercise or yoga may also help you reduce stress which will eventually benefit your health.

My dad had Bypass surgery a one half month back and since that day onwards he is getting dry cough with no mucus, we met operating doctor and although he gave medicines its not controlling plz suggest something what should I do
Multiple factors may cause a persisting dry cough following bypass surgery – medication reaction or due to the surgical procedure itself. Follow up with your dad’s cardiologist who operated on him. If the current treatment does not work, they may need to change his medicines or find other reasons for coughing. Furthermore, it could be beneficial to consult a pulmonologist because sometimes lung related problems might be causing the problem. The best way to deal with this symptom effectively while ensuring your dad’s comfort and recovery is through prompt, proper medical evaluation.

The cardiologist would be the best person to consult if you are having any heart pain or chest discomfort or left arm. Your symptoms may be sign of a heart problem. It needs to be checked by a specialist physician. Please don't postpone your medical visit in these situations.
