Please visit a dentist at the soonest as teeth do not heal by themselves and sotuation only worsens with time.
How long does a root canal last without a crown?
Answered on 23rd May '24
Its not always advisable to get a Crown after a root canal treatment. The strength of some teeth gets compromised after severe decay and although root canal treatment makes the tooth functional, a crown (or inlay/ onlay) should be done in such teeth to reinforce the strength and maintain the seal.
In some teeth Crown is not required as the decay/ trauma caused to the tooth does not compromise its strength.
Best judge would be your dentist as each situation is different.
