I think an insect has bite me while I was sleeping, maybe an insect which is found in rainy season. It has bitten me on my butt and the area looks like a medium sized pimple with a white transparent layer on it. Since then I’m also experiencing a bit of cold and feverish
Answered on 25th Sept '24
You have had a mosquito or some other insect biting you. The white transparent layer could be your body's way of protecting from the bite. Feeling cold and feverish after an insect bite is common as your body fights off any possible infection. Ensure the area is clean and put a mild antiseptic cream on the wound. If you experience any of the alarming signs i.e. increasing pain or redness, see a dermatologist.

Why im getting dry it by skin in patches
Answered on 18th Sept '24
Your skin may be dehydrated in patches. This could be due to many reasons, such as a lack of moisture, harsh soaps, or skin conditions like eczema. Dry skin can feel rough, scratchy, or even fissure. To help, try washing your kids' hair using a soap that is formulated for them. Use a thick cream or ointment which you should apply daily for at least a week. Also, drink plenty of water. If you do not see an improvement, visit a dermatologist.

I have too many Acne scars in face
Answered on 19th Sept '24
Acne scars are the marks left on your skin after acne heals, often making your skin look uneven or swollen. These scars form as your body tries to repair the skin after a breakout. To reduce acne scars, treatments like topical creams, laser therapy, or chemical peels can help. These methods can, over time, get rid of scars. Consult a dermatologist to determine the best way for you.

My dad has a white patch near chest. Is it worrisome
Answered on 18th Sept '24
A white patch on the neck could be a condition called pityriasis versicolor, caused by yeast growth on the skin. It usually leads to white patches without other symptoms. Anti-fungal creams or shampoos prescribed by a dermatologist can help treat it. Keeping the area clean and dry is also important.
Asked for Female, 29
Hello! I am 29-year-old female, got stung by a jellyfish on 6th September in my right leg, pain was quite severe, we went to the emergency, I got some painkillers, now I use local and oral antihistamines, but the scars are still there and sometimes there is swelling and itching. No pain anymore. What else should I do? Is local methylprednisolone a good idea? Can I go to the swimming pool and/or run?
Answered on 18th Sept '24
Jellyfish stings are common and can leave scars, swelling, and itching even after the pain subsides. Applying antihistamine creams can help with itching and oral antihistamines are recommended for swelling. If symptoms persist, a local methylprednisolone injection may be considered. It's best to avoid swimming and running until the scars heal to prevent further irritation.

I am 15 year old female and my lower face is darker than my upper face. It's not pigmentation or pimple patches. It's totally darker than my upper face. It starts from my chubby chicks to jawline
Answered on 20th Sept '24
You might have a medical condition named acanthosis nigricans. It can sometimes cause the lower face to be darker than the rest. It's not dangerous but could be a sign of something more serious, like insulin resistance, that is happening inside your body. You can fix this by eating cleaner, being active, and maintaining skin health. Furthermore, consume a lot of water.

My sister put a caustic soda flake on her tongue and her lip is swollen. What is the best way to help her.
Answered on 19th Sept '24
Your sister possibly injured her tongue due to caustic soda flakes. This can result in an enlargement and ache in the lip. The most effective treatment is to rinse her mouth with cool water for at least 20 minutes. This will contribute to the removal of any remaining chemicals and repair the damaged area. Let her utilize ice cubes to suck on to diminish the swelling. Tell her to consume cool water or milk to help with the vexation. Be alert for any wheezing or acute agony. If these signs arise, rush her to the emergency room immediately.

I am 17 years old I have highly pain in mouth ulcer please recommend Mouthwash Pain relief gel or tablet
Answered on 25th Sept '24
Having a painful mouth ulcer can be uncomfortable. For some, the first signs of it manifest as a burning or tingling sensation. However, ulcers can also be induced by emotional stress, or injury to the mouth, or even eating certain food types. As a sedative, a gentle mouthwash that does not contain alcohol should suffice for you to clean the area of an ulcer. Besides, it's also possible to glue a pain relief gel or to swallow a tablet for pain relief. Bloating or blistering, which can be caused by spicy or acidic foods, should also be avoided. These foods may exacerbate your ulcer.
