Dr. Prathmesh Mehta

Dr. Prathmesh Mehta is a highly accomplished and experienced Ophthalmologist and Eye Surgeon with a specialization in Cataract, Refractive, and Cornea transplant surgeries. With 16 years of overall experience, including 13 years as a specialist, he is known for his expertise in vision-restoring surgeries and has successfully treated over 16,000 patients. Dr. Mehta completed his MBBS from Terna Medical College in 2004 and further pursued DNB in Ophthalmology from the National Board of Examination, India in 2009. He received his ophthalmology training from the prestigious Aravind Eye Hospital, renowned worldwide for its excellence in eye care. Driven by a passion for corneal transplantation, he took additional training in Cornea specialty at Aravind Eye Hospital. Throughout his career, Dr. Mehta has held significant positions in renowned eye care institutions. He served as the Chief Cornea Surgeon at Chaithanya Eye Hospital and Vasan Eye Care, and as a Senior Surgeon and IOL Head at Aravind Eye Hospital. Moreover, he was a Senior Surgeon at Ojas Eye Hospital, Bandra, Mumbai, for three years. In addition to his surgical accomplishments, Dr. Prathmesh Mehta is actively involved in teaching and training budding surgeons in cataract and corneal transplant microsurgery, both nationally and internationally. He is a member of several esteemed ophthalmological societies, including the All India Ophthalmological Society, Bombay Ophthalmologists' Association (BOA), and Bangalore Ophthalmic Society. Committed to serving the underprivileged, Dr. Mehta participated in the Khmer Sight Mission to Cambodia, providing free vision-restoring surgeries to the natives.
