I am 19 yr male i put full bottle of 100 ml of 10 % povidone iodine 1% available iodine in my shoes and put my both foot into it for 30 minutes then washed with water after 30 minutes the area that came in contact with povidone iodine was from ankle to sole of foot will I get iodine toxicity

Male | 19

Soaking feet in povidone iodine for half an hour shouldn't cause toxicity. Washing it off afterward is normal. Stomach pain, vomiting, or metallic taste in the mouth indicate iodine toxicity. However, these symptoms are unlikely from your brief exposure. Avoid prolonged soaking in the future.

Hello, 2 months ago a drop of hiv infected person (not on medicine) saliva splashed into my eyes while talking and after 3 weeks i had mild cold symptoms for a few days. Am I infected with HIV? Cold stop pills made my symptoms better

Female | 33

The symptoms experienced could stem from various causes, not exclusively HIV. Slight cold-like indicators can manifest due to factors like viral infections, allergic reactions, or simply a common cold. The alleviation provided by the cold-stop medication is beneficial. Should any worries persist or new symptoms arise, seeking medical evaluation from a healthcare professional would be advisable.
