Questions & Answers on "Pediatrician" (535)
My baby daughter whose age is 2 years and 10 months got some rashes ( without irritation/itching) two weeks back. Pediatrician recommended atarax, a to z syrup and one dose of ivermectin/albendazole syrup. They decreased for two days and again came on second day. Then he proposed predone syrup. They went away from then. After three to four days further we stopped medication as suggested by pediatrician. Now it is 14th day. Today morning again slight rashes appeared. But not like earlier. Should we wait for two more days so that they reduce themselves or consult a pediatrici dermatologist

The rash has been rightly treated with medications prescribed by the pediatrician. You can wait to see how the rash develops or goes away by itself in a few days

We are on holiday in egypt and my 1 year old came down with a temperature of 38.5 along with a cough, snotty nose and she's sleeping alot. Her temp started last night and dropped during the day today but has gone back up tonight to 38. What should I do? When should I seek medical help?
Female | 1
A mild fever can be common in young children, often indicating a viral infection. Ensure she stays hydrated and comfortable. You may use acetaminophen or ibuprofen, following the appropriate dosage for her age, to help reduce fever and ease discomfort. If her fever persists beyond three days or worsens, or if she shows signs of difficulty breathing, extreme lethargy, or dehydration, please seek medical attention promptly. In a foreign country, it's always wise to consult a local pediatrician if you're uncertain.

Dear sir/mam. My baby is facing continuously coughing and my self my wife also facing this cough past one week but still we suffer this cough
Female | 4
Babies often cough. It's normal and happens for many reasons. Infections cause coughing. So do allergies. Signs of coughing: sore throat, runny nose, tired. Stay hydrated. Rest lots. Don't breathe smoke. Use humidifier or saline drops. The cough might not go soon. If it lasts, see a pediatrician.

Mujhe mumps hua tha 23 din ho gaye par halka halka dard abhi bhi hai kaan k neeche or jeebh bilkul sukhi silukhi rahti he
Female | 40
Mumps can leave discomfort behind. It causes a viral infection, making salivary glands swell. This leads to ear and mouth pain, dryness. Some symptoms may linger after the infection ends. Stay hydrated: drink plenty of water. Avoid acidic, spicy foods – they could irritate. Get lots of rest. If pain persists or worsens, see a doctor.
