It can be puzzling to have irregular periods - you might not know what's happening. Stress, weight changes, hormonal issues, and strenuous exercise are some of the things that can contribute to the disturbance. Maybe your body needs some quiet time. You should ask a gynecologist for advice if you are still worried.

I am 19 years old boy and my girlfriend is 16 years old and we had unprotected sex after her period was just over and i give her ipill within 24 hour and after 30 days i suggest her to check pregnancy kit and result was negative but also she is not having period after 32 days. Is she pregnant or any kind of disease happen to her please suggest me sir ??? I am in big trouble…
Female | 16
It's good that my girlfriend took appropriate measures, taking the iPill and using the test kit to perform a pregnancy test. Just 32 days have passed after the negative test, but the period may be absent due to a couple of reasons, even if we exclude pregnancy. In particular, this can happen due to anxiety, hormonal flow, and diseases like Hypothyroidism or Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. See a gynecologist if she doesn't get her period soon.

I have a fertility issue I didn't have a children for the last 2 years I have a early marriage
Female | 21
Feeling anxious when struggling with conception is ordinary. Not conceiving within two years of marriage might cause distress. This might result from hormonal imbalances, ovulation issues, or reproductive organ problems. Speaking with a gynecologist is crucial to comprehend the underlying factors. They can recommend appropriate treatments to aid in achieving pregnancy.

I had unprotected sex the exact day I was ovulating but then took a plan B ,,,,can I get pregnant?
Female | 23
Having unprotected sex on the day of ovulation can increase the risk of pregnancy. Taking Plan B shortly after can help lower that risk, especially if taken within 72 hours. If you were already ovulating, the chance of pregnancy might be higher. Consult a gynecologist and consider taking a pregnancy test if your period is delayed.

35 Female with lower abdominal pains below the belly button, bilateral(on both the left and right sides) unilateral in nature(where one sided pain occurs). Sharp and pinpoint to same location for both left and right sides, directly across from each other. happening since October 2021, coincided with period first occurrence on right side 2021 thought it was a cyst at first. Went away until the second occurrence on June 19th, 2022(period cycle then was June 8th - 16th), right side. Went away and returned September 25th, 2022 on left side this time(period cycle for September 2022 was the 3rd through 11th), it occurred again in January 7th 2023 on the right side(period cycle for January 2023 a skipped period) at this point I still thought it was was cyst like pain or even ovulation pain bothering me,so I went to gynecologist, they thought it could be large intestine related due to the location of the pains. I got an ultrasound that came back normal in February of 2023. The same day i had the ultrasound, I went to medexpress to get my physical for my driver's permit, and they suggested asking my previous pcp for a ct scan, to check my appendix. It was hard to get into my previous pcp as I didn't see them in 3 years so I wasn't established. I reached out to the gynecologist I saw in january of 2023, in June 2023 when I had another occurrence of the pain, to see about getting a ct scan. It was approved by insurance, but ultimately denied under physician review( by the supervising gynecologist, and my previous pcp, because my ultrasound was normal). I then established care in December of 2023, with a new pcpx who is suspicious that my pains are coming from ibs mixed with spasms. I am taking dicyclomine 10 mg 4 times a day as needed, but it's not really doing anything when the pains occur. My pcp also changed my dicyclomine to a 45 day supply as I asked in a different question. I also met with a surgeon in March of 2024 due to a large gallstone, as my pcp said they were common in people my age. The surgeon gave a complete different answer than what I have been given before, and he thought my pains could be coming from endometriosis. The surgeon performed my cholecystectomy, on May 29th, and did a general exploration during it, but found no endometriosis. My pcp still suggested getting an evaluation for endometriosis just to know we didn't miss anything, as well as getting evaluated by a gastroenterologist. As my pains have still been continuing. What could these pains be coming from? I feel like I will be tossed back and forth between gynecology and gastroenterology, and I don't want that at all. Some helpful info: My new pcp also diagnosed me with pcos as I fit the criteria for it with my irregular period cycles, despite my bloodwork and ultrasound coming back normal. I also had the cbc; comprehensive metabolic panel; celiac; thyroid; A1C; ESR; and C-Reactive protein all tested in December of 2023 when I met with my new pcp. The only two that came back as abnormal were my ESR at 34 and C-Reactive protein at 29.7

You have been through a lot with your abdominal pains. Therefore, considering the normal ultrasound results and the new suspicion of endometriosis from the surgeon, your pain may be due to endometriosis, the condition wherein tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus that can result in cyclical sharp pelvic pain. It's okay to talk to a gynecologist about more tests and treatments. Besides, you might want to see a gastroenterologist, too, so as to eliminate the probability of any intestinal problems causing the symptoms you are having.

I am patient of pcos I want to know that if I conceive with pcos it will harm me or my baby during the pragnancy?
Female | 28
Having PCOS does not necessarily mean that you will experience harm or that your baby will be at risk during pregnancy. However some women with PCOS may have a slightly higher risk of certain complications such as gestational diabetes and preterm birth. So close monitoring and regular prenatal care are important..

Skipping periods for two months raises concerns. Stress, weight changes, hormones, or health conditions cause this. Other signs like acne, excess hair, and headaches may occur. Consulting a gynecologist is advisable for an examination and treatment options.

White discharge, hair loss ,lump on breast
Female | 20
White discharge by itself is normal, but a strong smell or itching suggests infection. Losing hair can happen due to stress, hormones, or lacking nutrients. Lumping your breast is serious. It may not be cancer, but you need to see a gynecologist right away to be sure it's harmless. A short exam observing these symptoms can determine what tests or treatment you require, if any.

I am an 18 year old female and a couple months ago I broke my virginity and we didn't use a condom, the second time I had sex with this person we used a condom but after the outside of my vergina starts to itch. It would itch every now and then but it wasn't bad. The third time I did it with this person we didn't use any condom and we did it in a spontaneous spot and after that the itching got worse. I don't know what to do could you please give me some advice on how to stop this. (please keep in mind that all 3 times was with the same person. Oh and by the way what I mean by the outside is the clit area)
Female | 18
Yeast infection might be why your clitoris itches. When the pH balance of your vagina changes—usually after having unprotected sex—this can occur. To relieve the itching, try using over-the-counter antifungal creams or ask for a prescription from a doctor. To avoid getting infections, always use condoms during sex.

Bleeding and spotting are the most frequent phenomenon during the menses. However, they do not necessarily signify that something is going wrong. Yet, attending a gynecologist is required to make a correct diagnosis.

I am a 26-year-old female. For a little over a week, I've been experiencing a sensation on my clitoris after finishing urination. For the past 2-3 days, I've noticed that some urine remains even after I've finished peeing. There is no burning or pain.
Female | 26
The sensation felt on the clitoris after urination and having bit of urine left could be as a result of urinary tract infection (UTI) or just irritation around that area. It is good that there is no pain or burning. A lot of water and cranberry juice can help but it is necessary to go for proper diagnosis and treatment by a urologist.

My period is iregular and u had been gaining weight and constipate my body use to itch alot from head to toe i dont know what to say
Female | 28
Irregular periods, weight gain, constipation and itchiness may indicate a medical condition. One should seek the help of a gynecologist in cases where periods are not on regularity and that of a gastroenterologist when one is having constipation. A dermatologist should be consulted for weight gain and an endocrinologist, on the other hand, in case of itchiness. Do not dismiss these symptoms as a failure to diagnose and treat correctly may diminish your physical health and happiness.
