Thes ages of 7 and 12 years, preceding the eruption of the permanent canines when the upper central and lateral incisors are tipped laterally due to the crowding created by the unerupted canines, to produce a midline space (median diastema). It is usually the self-correcting stage. Requires no treatment. When a patient has all permanent teeth erupted subsequent treatment plan can be decided. The shared treatment plan is provisional and requires OPG X-ray and clinical pictures. A more accurate plan can be done after the above investigations.
