Could my 3-month-old have cochlear outer hair cell issues?
abnormal functioning of outer hair cells of cochlea for 3 months child
General Physician
Answered on 3rd Dec '24
Maybe your child is not able to hear as well because the outer hair cells in the cochlea are affected. Not only this but the child may lack in hearing or have difficulty in responding to the everyday sounds as it was before. This disorder can be due to infections or because of exposure to loud noises. The positive side is that an audiologist will be able to diagnose the issue and provide solutions, such as hearing aids.

I want to know about pediatric dermatologist,my 3 and half year old grandson having Alopecia Aereta, he is downsyndrom boy
Male | 3
Your grandson suffers from Alopecia Areata. Hair falls out in circular bald patches. It can impact eyebrows or lashes too. It's harmless but visually concerning. Usually, it occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles. But the good news is, hair often regrows naturally over time. To aid regrowth, dermatologists may prescribe steroid injections or creams. Consult a pediatric dermatologist for guidance and optimal treatment options.

Female | 2

Sometimes, surgery becomes necessary to fix it. Watch for trouble breathing or poor growth as warning signs. Speak to your doctor about the ideal treatment path for your child.

My toddler has severe food allergies. How can I ensure he gets a balanced diet while avoiding allergens, and what are some safe, nutritious alternatives?
Female | 33
A diet that is complete and free from allergens is essential. Milk, eggs, soy, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish are the most commonly found allergens. It is important to search for other alternatives that are safe and nutritious, such as fruit, vegetables, rice, quinoa, beans, and meats. A dietitian can support you in developing a customized meal plan to make sure your child gets all the necessary nutrients. It is also necessary to monitor the symptoms of rashes, stomachache, vomiting, and shortness of breath that might appear after consuming food. If you recognize any of these symptoms, the advice is to stop feeding them that food and to contact an allergist for further testing and evaluation.

Taking different medicines together requires caution to prevent issues. Genalben and Finallerg syrup serve distinct purposes. While Genalben addresses certain health conditions, Finallerg syrup treats allergies. Combining them may lead to side effects such as dizziness, confusion, or upset stomach. To ensure safety, it's crucial to consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting any new medication or modifying existing ones.

Kids have rough days sometimes. Trouble using the bathroom leaves them drained. They can't keep food down well. Low weight follows. But don't worry yet. Some simple causes likely explain loose bowel movements. Maybe a minor infection. Could be food isn't agreeing with them lately. New diet changes can do that. When weight drops and hunger disappears, it's wise to get expert help. A doctor's visit offers the right solution. Give small water sips often to avoid dehydration. Try easy snacks like rice, bananas, and toast. Simple foods are gentle. Get checked out and follow a pediatrician's advice.

I have 3.5 months old baby....he is having watery eye and sometimes cough and from born is sneezing...and now he is passing green colour poop ....some times watery and some times normal....today I visited my family doctor he has suggested to give below tonics( fensivit complete and dha plus syrups? ... thought of asking you for further details and also please do provide good formula go my baby I am a working woman.
Male | 3.5
Watery eyes in small babies is common and May be due to immature development of the duct which drains from tear glands in eyes to the nose .
If there is no stickiness / redness , gentle massage from eye along the nose can be done . Breast fed babies and pass all types / colours of stools. Working mothers best option is to express and store breast milk. Additional feeds by formula available over the counter can be given

Best formula milk fr 0 to 6 mnth baby
Female | 26
Deciding on the best infant formula for your baby's health and well-being is a major decision. During the first 6 months of life, you should give him a complete nutrient that contains essential vitamins and minerals. Try to avoid formulas for babies that contain corn syrup, high fructose syrup, or sucrose. Obesity and type 2 diabetes are two of the possible health problems that will cause serious damage to our kids.
