Hello! Swelling in the legs, combined with a missed period, could suggest several possibilities, including pregnancy. However, other factors, such as hormonal changes, stress, or dietary issues, might also contribute to these symptoms. Your wife needs to take a home pregnancy test for initial clarity. Regardless of the outcome, I recommend consulting with a gynecologist for a thorough evaluation. They can provide tailored advice and ensure both her health and well-being. Remember, seeking professional guidance is always a wise choice.

I am a 23 year old female, 23weeks pregnant. I have quite a stupid question but im a first time mom & it's a need to know. There's many stories going around but i would like to know if my position affects how baby is laying in my womb. eg, if i am laying with my legs up (giving birth position) does that mean the baby is in the same position in my stomach?

Female | 23

The way you position your body can indeed affect how comfortable you are, yet it does not accurately reflect the baby's position in your womb. Babies move around and shift in the womb when they are looking for the most comfortable spots. At 23 weeks, they have enough space to assume various positions. If you have concerns about fetal positioning or notice something unusual, the best thing to do is to see a doctor. They have the know-how to come up with advice and they stand by you through all the tests. Just think, every pregnancy is different, and qualified health care is vital to the health of you and your baby.

Is it possible to have heavy bleeding after ecp?

Female | 23

Yes it is possible to experience heavy bleeding after taking emergency contraception pills. ECPs contain high doses of hormones, such as levonorgestrel, which can disrupt the hormonal balance in the body and affect the menstrual cycle. These are common side effects of the tablet.

Female | 30

Trichomoniasis is an infection that can exist without notice. A tiny parasite causes it. It spreads through sexual contact. You might experience itching, burning, and unusual discharge in the private parts. But it's simple to treat with antibiotics if diagnosed. Always practice safe sex to avoid infections like this one.

Is Ceftriaxone sulbactum 1000+500 mg safe to take in 30 week pregnancy... currently URine culture positive ...colony count more than 100000...organism-STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS... ceftriaxone found to be sensitive ..advised Ceftriaxone+ sulbactum 1000+500mg....shoud it be taken

Male | 25

It is necessary to treat infections in pregnancy because they can hurt both you and the baby. If a doctor prescribes it, ceftriaxone sulbactum is safe to use at 30 weeks. Your urine culture revealed that you have high amounts of staphylococcus aureus bacteria which causes UTIs (urinary tract infections). By taking the medicine as directed, the infection will be fought off and will ensure the safety of the mother and the unborn child.

I am a 26 year old female. I discovered fibroadenomas in my breast when I was 18. I have 8-9 lesions in each breast, not big ones. I get them checked every year. Is this something I need to be worried about?

Female | 26

It is good that you check your breast lumps every year. Fibroadenomas are growths in the breast that are not cancer. You may feel a lump or see changes in breast shape. These lumps happen when gland and tissue cells grow too much. Most times, no treatment is needed if the lump does not grow or hurt. Keep seeing your doctor each year, and you will be okay.

Am i pregnant? I’ve been having some slight cramping and I took a pregnancy test.

Female | 25

You didn't mention the pregnancy test and also even if it is possitive, you need to see your gynecologist. They can ask for some tests and confirm about pregnancy or any other health conditions
