While routine dental X-rays have a low level of radiation, it's generally recommended to avoid them during pregnancy, especially during the first trimester when the fetus is developing rapidly. If dental X-rays are necessary, your dentist may use a lead apron and thyroid collar to minimize exposure to the abdomen and thyroid. It's essential to inform your dentist if you are pregnant or suspect you might be, so they can take appropriate precautions or defer non-urgent X-rays until after pregnancy.

  1. Yes! Dental X-rays are safe to have during pregnancy.
  2. The American Dental Association and the American Pregnancy Association both agree that very low radiation levels are used in dental X-rays which do not harm either a pregnant woman or her unborn baby.

I’m 32 years old male and have tooth gap in the front two teeth since years. Looking for the quick treatment without any harmful effects in longevity.

Male | 32

Hi
if you want a quick treatment you can go for tooth colored composite fillings or pircrksin veneer .
But bothe these treatments have to be redone after few years
Long term treatment would be braces but more permanent.

I have blood gums, please tell me the medicine.

Female | 21

The swollen and red gums might be a sign of gum disease which requires special care from the dentist. Make an appointment to see a dentist who has been trained in periodontics for an accurate assessment and treatment. Please don't self meditate as it may worsen your condition

What is jaw claudication?

Female | 59

Jaw claudication is an often unrecognized sign of giant cell arteritis. The significance of this symptom has been underemphasized in the dental literature. Dentists should consider jaw claudication when making the differential diagnosis of jaw pain, especially in the elderly patient. Early diagnosis and treatment of giant cell arteritis may help save a patient
