Experiencing Vaginal Pain in First Trimester of Pregnancy?
I am experiencing vaginal pain and itching during the first trimester of my pregnancy. What are the possible causes and remedies for this discomfort?

Gynecologist
Answered on 28th Dec '24
One of the possible reasons is hormonal changes, frequent causes like yeast or bacterial vaginosis, or irritations from products are some of the possible reasons. To relieve the symptoms, you should try to wear breathable cotton underwear, use mild, unscented soap, and drink plenty of water. Over-the-counter antifungals might be helpful if you suspect a yeast infection. Nevertheless, let your gynecologist make an accurate diagnosis and take the necessary treatment services.

When I take unwanted 72 pills after 1weeks I got some bleeding but not continue... it's 2weeks earlier than normal periods date...what that mean?
Female | 20
One of the most common side-effects caused by taking emergency contraceptive pills like Unwanted 72 is bleeding. It may change your menstrual cycle, either early or late period. But if the bleeding lasts longer or is more severe than normal, it might be necessary to see a gynecologist for an additional evaluation and therapy.

My girlfriend had her last period started on 5 april , we had unprotected sex on 27 april , she was late on her periods so we took a pregnancy test on 9 may and it came negative , then we waited for a week and took 2 tests on 15 may and they both came negative , what should we do next
Female | 20
If multiple pregnancy tests have come back negative, you should wait a bit longer and take another test. If you still have concerns, consult a gynecologist for further evaluation. Stress and other factors can also cause irregular periods.

I'm 19 years old, female and I had ascites last year November 2023 , my periods stop when I started getting sick with ascites and low blood pressure, I lost weight and my periods stop too , what can I do and what is the problem with my body
Female | 19
Ascites is a condition in which fluid builds up in your abdomen, leading to swelling. In this case, your body felt under pressure, which was the prime reason for both hypotension and anorexia. They can be triggers for periods. Therefore, it will be efficient for a doctor to see you first before discovering changes in your ascites and periods.

Agar aapne December aur January mein periods dekhe hain aur pregnancy test negative aaya hai, toh aapko bahut zyada tension lene ki zarurat nahi hai. Kabhi-kabhi stress ya hormonal changes ki wajah se bhi periods irregular ho sakte hain. Agar aapko koi unusual symptoms mehsoos ho rahe hain, toh gyneclogist se sampark karna best hoga. Professional advice se aapki chinta door ho jayegi. Sab kuch theek rahega, aur aap khud ko relax rakhein.

Hi. I’ve took 3 pregnancy tests tonight which have all came back positive. Is there a chance of false positive? Or am I pregnant?
Female | 25
A positive pregnancy test means you are most likely pregnant.. False positives are rare, but could occur due to certain medications or medical conditions. It's important to confirm the results with a healthcare provider and schedule prenatal care....

My last period was 24Dec,2024 but still today not coming and 15days delay. Also I have all symptoms regarding period like cramps, mood swings, irritation etc.and I had a protected sex before 5days ago on my period day. And no sperm insert into my vagina because sperms are not discharged that time so for this reason I am very much sure that I am not pregnant and no pregnancy symptoms are present. But for your reference , as this was my first intercourse that's why small blood discharged. But my concern is why my period is not coming as I have all symptoms before period.
Female | 25
It's understandable to feel concerned about a delayed period, especially with symptoms like cramps and mood changes. Periods can be influenced by stress, hormonal changes, and other factors, even after protected intercourse. Since you didn’t experience any sperm exposure and pregnancy symptoms are absent, this delay may simply be your body adjusting. However, because the delay exceeds two weeks, I recommend scheduling a visit to a gynecologist. They can evaluate your symptoms, rule out any underlying issues, and provide personalized advice for your menstrual health.

I’m 18 and I did oral things with my partner and there wasn’t any intercourse, It’s been 2 weeks ands 4 days and I’m 6 days late for my periods. What are the chances of pregnancy?
Female | 18
It's understandable to feel concerned about your period being late. Engaging in oral activities typically carries a very low risk of pregnancy, especially without intercourse. However, various factors can delay menstruation, including stress, hormonal changes, and lifestyle behaviors. To address your concern, consider taking a home pregnancy test for reassurance. If your period doesn't arrive soon or if you have other symptoms, I recommend scheduling a visit with a gynecologist for guidance. They can provide personalized support based on your situation.

Female | 16
It is also possible that you could be pregnant if this month have passed your period and currently observing spotting, bloating, and nausea. But these signs might point to other complications too. I suggest seeing a gynecologist or obstetrician to do your pregnancy test and identify what underlies those symptoms of yours. This is always advisable to consult a physician.

Having severe pain 3 days after medical abortion
Female | 26
Experiencing severe pain 3 days after a medical abortion is distressing. The uterus contracts, returning to typical size, causing discomfort. Infection or remaining tissue potentially causes pain. Prompt contact with a gynecologist is crucial if pain intensifies. They'll identify the cause, providing suitable treatment for relief.

Female | 24
Irregularities with getting periods are something that you should always keep in mind. Several factors can result in your periods not occurring at the expected time – for instance, stress, weight changes, or hormone imbalances. Be patient if there are no other abnormal signs except the delay. If you are worried, it would be wise to consult a gynecologist for tailored advice.

My periods is not stoped after 9 days
Female | 15
Periods usually last around 5-7 days. However, bleeding that continues past 9 days is considered prolonged. This extended menstrual flow could signal hormonal imbalances, thyroid disorders, or uterine issues. Heavy bleeding leading to fatigue, or a history of irregular cycles, warrants medical attention. A gynecologist can diagnose the underlying cause and recommend treatments to regulate your periods.

Female | 25 years
Missing your period for 2 months, body pains, and feeling tired could mean different things. It might be due to stress, changes in weight, or a hormone imbalance. Try to relax, eat well, and get enough sleep. If these symptoms continue, it's a good idea to talk with a gynecologist to check things out.

You could be dealing with irregular periods and heavy bleeding. This may be caused by hormone imbalances or conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome. Having sex can sometimes change your menstrual flow. To help make your periods more regular, try keeping track of when they come, and talking to a gynecologist for advice.

I am in third trimester of pregnancy my periods date was of 31st may 2024 may I know what should be the delivery date.
Female | 30 years
Based on your provided date, your estimated delivery could be around February 25, 2025, considering a typical pregnancy duration of about 40 weeks. As you progress, it's common to experience physical changes like fatigue, back pain, or Braxton Hicks contractions. These are normal and indicate your body preparing for birth. Prioritize regular prenatal check-ups to monitor your health and your baby's development. Paying attention to any unusual symptoms is important, so feel free to reach out to a gynecologist for reassurance or guidance. Their expertise will ensure both you and your baby remain healthy and well-cared for.

Hi, I am Rh negative my husband is positive this is my 4th pregnancy.my first baby is rh + blood group he is 5 years old ,second abortion, third normal delivered rh + but due to rh complications(jaundice) he was die. Now I am completed 6 months of pregnancy indirect coombs is positive titre is around 1:1024. My question is can I take anti -d 28 weeks Is it helpful to reduce harmful antibodies.??
Female | 29
Receiving an Anti-D injection at 28 weeks helps reduce harmful antibodies in your body. In cases of Rh incompatibility, where the mother and baby's blood types don't match, this injection can protect your baby's health. Rh incompatibility can lead to serious issues like jaundice, so Anti-D prevents your body from producing antibodies that could harm your baby. It's important to follow your doctor's treatment plan closely for the best outcome. Make sure to visit a gynecologist if you experience any concerns.

Female | 26
Tiny bumps on your labia minora can occur due to various reasons. Ingrown hairs from shaving or friction are common culprits. These bumps resemble small pimples, often itchy and painful.
