You might be experiencing painful periods, also called dysmenorrhea. The cramps happen because your uterus is contracting to shed its lining. It’s common to feel pain, nausea, chills, and even diarrhea during this time. To ease the discomfort, you can try using a heating pad on your lower belly, taking ibuprofen, which you can buy over the counter, or talking to a gynecologist about other treatments. These cramps often get better as you get older, but if they continue, a doctor can help you find the best solution.

I had my last period on the 3rd of last month. I have a 25-day cycle with 4 days of bleeding. I had sex on the 13th and I had a pill within one hour and then on the 15th of that month, I took a pill within one hour, just as a precaution. I started a light bleed on the 20th of that month until the 25th. The expected period date was 30 of the month. But, I still have not got it.
Female | 26
Based on the information you have provided, the pills you took on the 13th and 15th of last month may have affected your menstrual cycle. Contraceptive pills contain high levels of hormones that can disrupt your menstrual cycle and cause irregular bleeding. If you are concerned about a possible pregnancy, you can take a home pregnancy test to confirm. But wait at least a week after a missed period to take the test for accurate results or visit a gynecologist.

If your period is 10 days late, but the pregnancy test is negative and you are experiencing cramps and weakness, it could be due to hormonal imbalance or other underlying health issues. It is best to consult a gynecologist to get a proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Hi Doctor , iam 39 ,a mother of 2 kids, and my husband and I agreed to sterilize myself by doing tubal ligation surgery. I would like to know is this really safe !? And Also for double protection to take Ovral L pill as I am told the surgery also not 100%. Is this idea okay ?
Female | 39
Tubal ligation is generally a safe and effective method of sterilization with a very low failure rate. However, no method is 100% effective. Taking Ovral L for double protection is not typically necessary after tubal ligation. It's best to discuss this with a gynecologist to understand the risks, benefits, and whether additional contraceptive measures are needed.

Female | 26
It is normal to miss a period occasionally. Lots of things such as stress, weight changes, or too much exercise can do this; however, if you start feeling unwell in any way – especially if it is accompanied by dizziness – now would be a good time to see your gynecologist about things like that.

Hey doc started my periods early this month on date 17 and ended up on 20th then on had unprotected sex on 22nd am I safe
Female | 19
The 17th starting and the 20th ending period is a pretty normal cycle. Having unprotected sex on the 22nd might expose you to the risk of getting pregnant. So, watch for possible symptoms like nausea, fatigue, and breast tenderness. If you're concerned, think about using emergency contraception or taking a pregnancy test.

I'm a 23 years old female . Today I had my first sexual intercourse . At that time I had severe bleeding and pain . The bleeding is still going on . And I got out a piece of flesh out. I'm worried . Is this normal?
Female | 23
During some women’s first sexual experience, they may have bleeding and pain. The bleeding usually stops after a few hours. However, passing a piece of flesh is abnormal. It could result from the hymen tearing, though such a big piece is uncommon. It’s essential to see a gynecologist for proper treatment and a check-up to confirm everything is okay.

Iam 22 years old ..i have irregular periods problem since i get matured... I don't even have any other diseases such as thyroid or pcod...i consulted doctors too...they recommend me for "premolut N" medicine...when ever I taking this tablet then only periods are coming every month... otherwise I don't get periods.please recommend me perfect medicine for this..
Female | 22
In my opinion, you should go to see a gynecologist in order to diagnose your problem and to receive a proper treatment. Different causes of irregular periods include stress, weight changes, hormonal imbalances,or underlying diseases. Diagnosis of root cause should be made, before any medicine is given. Hence, I suggest you see a gynecologist who will advise you properly.

It can be due to multiple causes such as stress, weight gain/loss; hormonal imbalance, or even some illness. You may also feel tired all the time and have frequent mood changes. In addition, there might be pains around the lower abdomen too. You should visit a gynecologist who will help find out what is causing this so that they can give appropriate advice.

Mam first day of periods less bleeding just one or two strains or colour of blood is brown and have clots also the next blood is coming more
Female | 21
When the first day of your period is light with minimal bleeding, everything is likely fine. If the blood is brownish and contains some clots, don't worry; this can happen. On the following day, a heavier flow is normal as your body is adjusting. Brownish blood simply means the blood is older. However, if you feel nervous or experience pain, it would be wise to consult a gynecologist.

Female | 18
Lower belly pain after intimacy may occur and is quite normal. Muscle soreness or cramping during intercourse could be the reason. If the discomfort is mild and temporary, it's usually harmless. However, severe, persistent, or recurrent pain necessitates consulting a gynecologist to identify any underlying issues.

I had normal delivery and 18 stitches.insert copper t during delivery time.delivery month is October. I am not check the copper t. Which time to remove copper t?
Female | 27
The usual recommendation for copper T is an annual check-up. Later, as you have not gotten it checked, you better get it out now. Not to worry, the non-check-up may be the source of the infection or the discomfort in the future. Safety and ease with it are the hallmarks. Get in touch with a gynecologist.

I think I might be pregnant, I have missed period and have other symptoms, I want to abort it it's only been a week, recommend me medications and also I have had an appendix operation 2 years ago, so if that can threaten my health and also prevention from side effects of medical abortion
Female | 21
Not having a period as well as other symptoms can mean that you are pregnant. But do not worry as it is still too early to say; It's only been one week. Having had an appendix operation two years ago would not affect doing a medical abortion. It’s important to take note of the potential side effects of the drugs such as heavy bleeding, nausea or even cramping – therefore be careful. Seek professional guidance from a gynecologist before making any decisions.

I am 22 years and i am facing issue in my delayed period its been 2 month i havent get my period even i am not sexually active but i have been taking contraceptive pill called novex as i have fibroid
Female | 22
It is crucial to know that your period can be affected by multiple different things. Because you have indicated the contraceptive Nova and fibroids, it is potentially associated with the delay in your period. One of the ways fibroids can cause you to argue with your menstrual cycle is when you have singular or multiple symptomatic episodes. It's always better to talk to your gynecologist about this.
