Hi, my father was diagnosed with carcinoma right colon, features are suggestive of well-differentiated mucinous papillary adenocarcinoma of the colon with metastasis to the lymph node and treated with extended radical right hemicolectomy side to side ileocolic anastomosis done under GA one year back followed by chemotherapy. We need a second opinion as his blood report reveals a presence of 17.9 ng/mL of carcinoembryonic antigen. Can you please suggest me a good hospital in Bangalore with less cost? The previous doctor suggested a PET CT scan.
As per my understanding, your father is suffering from carcinoma of the right colon with metastasis to lymph node and treated surgically and chemotherapy. Once any cancer which has spread to the lymph nodes it means it is stage 3 where the prognosis is not so good. But still consult an oncologist. Hope our answer helps you. My nephew has a form of cancer in the form of a lump above the rib cage, which has now affected his lung. Is there a cure for this type of cancer? The doctors said that he needs marrow so what you think please answer me quickly.
Male | 12
Without knowing more about the type and stage of cancer he has, it's difficult to say much about his particular case. Bone marrow transplantation is done to treat some types of cancer, particularly those that affect the blood and bone marrow, like leukemia and lymphoma. So if the doctors have said so, you must follow. If yoou're cncerned you may take a second opinion from oncologists in India.

I'd want to ask a few questions about colon cancer. My brother is a colon cancer patient and is undergoing chemotherapy. I'd appreciate it if you could let me know if nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and chest pain are usual symptoms.
Chemotherapy always has mild to moderate side effects. Nausea, Vomiting, hyperacidity and weakness are common side effects.
During the chemotherapy sessions and even after it some pre and post Chemotherapy drugs are prescribed to prevent or reduce these side effects. In case of extensive discomfort you should always consult your medical oncologist and seek his/her opinion

Throat cancer related? Mera gale ke cancer ka treatment ho chuka hai cemo aur radiation se 3 months ho chuke hai puchna tha mai kbtk solid food le paungi?

Chemotherapy and radiation therapy can cause difficulty swallowing and mouth sores, making it hard to eat solid foods. Sticking to liquid foods can help you recover slowly, and you can reintroduce solid foods once your throat heals.

First, evaluate her general condition as well as her disease progression. According to her histopathological report and staging of the disease proper treatment plan has to be made. Starting with Chemotherapy as it affects the disease, further plans of action will be made. Hello, one of my relatives is suffering from stage 1 Pancreatic Cancer. What are the causes of Pancreatic Cancer and is it curable?
Factors that may increase the risk of pancreatic cancer are: smoking, diabetes, chronic, inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), family history of pancreatic cancer, obesity, family history of genetic syndromes that can increase cancer risk and others. Pancreatic cancer is called a silent killer because it often grows or spreads undetected. Many tumors of Stage 1 pancreatic cancer are resect able, or capable of being removed through the surgery. If surgery is not possible, other standard treatment choices include chemotherapy, radiation or both. Consult Cancer Treatment doctors in Mumbai, or any other city you prefer. On in-depth evaluation of the cause they will guide you through the treatment.

Swelling in the neck indicates your body fights infection. Coughing may cause lumps. However, tobacco heightens cancer risk. Quitting tobacco is advisable. Visit an oncologist for proper assessment and symptom management advice.

Hello, my mother is suffering from T-cell lymphoma stage 3. Is it curable?
As per my understanding your mother is suffering from T-cell lymphoma stage 3. As per literature the survival rate for lymphoma stage III, is of 5 years in 83% of patients. But still she needs to be under observation of an oncologist. Further investigations, treatment all depends on her general condition and stage and type of cancer. Routine cytology with PET scans, and others may be required. But line of investigations is all planned according to patient's response to treatment and doctor's decision. It varies from case to case. My mother is 52 Years old house wife and she's survive in chest Cancer past 3 years and didn't well Dr do treatment but feeling getting bad
Female | 52
Cancer is tough, but there's hope. Please let the doctor know if she feels worse even after treatment. Some symptoms such as coughing, pain, or feeling weak are of multiple possibilities. The doctor possibly has to ascertain if the cancer has recurred or if there is another problem. Waiting is not a good choice especially when you tell them how your mother is doing.
