Variations exist when kids develop speech skills. If speaking challenges arise with your son, potential reasons could be hearing issues, developmental delays, or simply taking more time. I suggest seeking a professional evaluation of his hearing and consulting a speech therapist. They'll provide insight into nurturing his speech progress.

Premature babies are often slow in gaining weight. Make sure that he is eating well and that he is getting enough nutrients. You can speak with a pediatrician to discuss the possibility of a change in his feeding schedule or the use of specialized formulas to enable him to gain weight continuously.

Can a little boy can eat egg if he is suffering from urine infection or release blood after unine
Male | 6
Young boys with urinary tract infections or hematuria should avoid eggs. Egg consumption aggravates bladder irritation, and worsening symptoms. The signs include pain during urination, frequent bathroom trips, and pinkish-reddish urine. Hydration and fruits/veggies aid recovery, helping the body combat the infection. Symptoms like painful urination, increased urinary frequency, and discolored urine indicate the condition. .

We are giving medicine from last four 4 years from qualified doctors of pakistan dr noreen akhtar but the child swelled when she leaves the medicine for a month.
Female | 10
Swelling after stopping medicine could show edema, a condition where fluid builds up. This happens because the body adjusts to medicine, then responds when it's removed suddenly. Many reasons like heart or kidney problems can cause edema. Doctors slowly reduce doses to avoid reactions like swelling. It's crucial to talk with your doctor about this concern.

It's good that your daughter is responsive and speaks some words. However, not sitting properly or stiffening her legs could indicate developmental issues. I recommend visiting a pediatric neurologist for a thorough evaluation and guidance on appropriate interventions.

What can I give a girl having high temperature
Female | 5
Fevers are the body's reaction to fighting off germs. Drink lots of water. Take acetaminophen for the fever. If the fever persists for more than 3 days, visit a doctor. That's important because high fevers can be worrisome. A mild fever under 102 Fahrenheit is okay and common for kids during minor illnesses. But anything over 103 Fahrenheit means getting medical attention. Keeping fluids up and medication helps kids feel better during fevers.

It's common for viral infections to cause dysentery with mucous in children. Antibiotics are not effective against viruses and may not be needed. Follow your doctor's advice closely. If you have concerns about the medication, discuss them with your pediatrician who can provide the best guidance for your child's condition.

Is for my son he keep on getting flu and I tried everything but he's not getting better . What should I do now
Male | 2
The flu is unpleasant - fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, body aches. Your son's immune system seems weak, allowing repeated infections. He needs rest, hydration, nutritious meals, and frequent handwashing. Speak to a doctor about getting him a flu vaccine. It could prevent future illnesses.

Children develop differently, some take more time than others. Your child's social struggles may indicate delayed brain growth. Delays appear as learning difficulties, atypical behavior, or communication troubles. Multiple factors contribute: genetics, birth issues, early experiences. Male | 1.5
If you're concerned about your 1.5 year old son's genital development, it's essential to consult a pediatrician or pediatric urologist for an evaluation. Small or retracting testicles may be normal in some cases, but it's crucial to rule out conditions like undescended testicles or hernias.

I'm hive positive when I was pregnant with my daughter she is 18 years old now but she don't know about it is she infected?
Female | 38
Being HIV positive is a major concern, yet it doesn't necessarily mean transmission to your daughter. Daily activities like sharing meals or embracing do not spread HIV. The virus can only transmit via blood, sexual relations, or during childbirth. Getting your daughter tested for HIV will provide certainty. If positive, treatments exist to maintain her health. There's no need for excessive worry; simply encourage her to undergo testing.

My daughter turned 8y a day back. She was a low birth weight kid. Currently she is 16kg, 110.4cm. No endocrine or any health issues. Very active n fine. Pls suggest some supplement to increase height and weight.
Female | 8
Here are some tips for helping your child grow taller and gain weight. Make sure they get different nutrients by eating many kinds of food – not just junk! Specifically, things with protein like milk or eggs; also foods high in calcium (like broccoli) and vitamin D (like salmon). Get them moving often with things other than walking too- muscle strength is important! Enough sleep each night will help their bodies grow well too.

My baby was born on 15 May 2024 but his oxygen level was very low and he did not even cry. Now he is on ventilator support. It has been 5 days. Can you tell us whether the health of the baby will improve and what will happen next? What problems will the baby face? And how many days will it take for the baby to become mature?
Male | New born baby
Low levels of oxygen at birth can cause a variety of problems. Ventilation support will be necessary to help the infant breathe. It’s a difficult time but with good care the baby’s condition should improve. There might be complications such as lung issues or delays in development. The baby will need more time to grow and mature than usual – usually about 40 weeks from when they were due for delivery.

My child I caughing and also her palm is white
Female | 9
This arises when the body lacks sufficient oxygen. Coughing often signals infections or allergic reactions. Meanwhile, pale palms suggest low red blood cell count. Ensure your child breathes comfortably and remains calm. However, it's advisable to consult a pediatrician for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment promptly.

After breast feeding many times vomits and cold cuff
Female | One month
Many babies puke after lots of feeds if they catch a cold bug. It can bring a runny nose, coughing, sneezy fits. Gulping down too much milk may spark the upchucks. Breaking feeds into smaller gulps, keeping baby upright post-feed may curb puking. If symptoms stick around or worsen, check with your pediatrician.

Hi, my baby was born without the soft spot on his head should I be concerned?
Male | 1
Babies often arrive without the soft spot called a fontanelle. This happens when head bones join early before birth. Generally, it's fine, as long as the baby grows well. Though you'll want to mention it to your pediatrician. They can check that development is on track. If any issues arise, the doctor will advise next steps.
