Why Is My Baby Constipated and What to Do?
Constipation in my baby. He not passing motion daily what to do
General Physician
Answered on 17th Jan '25
It’s common for infants to experience irregular bowel movements, which can be influenced by their diet or hydration levels. Symptoms might include discomfort, fussiness, or straining during attempts to pass stools. To help alleviate this, ensure your baby is drinking enough fluids, and consider introducing fiber-rich foods if they have started solids. Gentle tummy massage can also be soothing. However, if you notice prolonged discomfort, blood in the stools, or other concerning signs, I recommend consulting your pediatrician for tailored advice and reassurance. They can provide you with the guidance you need for your baby’s health and comfort.

Male | 31 months
When a child does not talk, especially when he or she is already 31 months old, a parent needs to respond to this issue immediately. It may be an early sign of a speech delay. Sometimes, hearing trouble or a delay in development could be the cause. The most effective way is through speech therapist intervention which may mean providing strategies to improve your child's language skills.

6 days old baby girl having loose motion 3 times a day can we give sporlac banana flavour powder
Female | 6 days e
Sometimes, babies pass loose stools often. Don't worry, this happens. If your newborn girl has diarrhea thrice daily, an infection or diet change could cause it. Sporlac banana powder may help. It restores good tummy bacteria, and firms up motions. Keep her hydrated - offer breast milk or small water sips frequently. Don't give any other medicine without a doctor's advice. But if diarrhea worsens or continues, see a pediatrician.

When baby formula poops look muddy, it might signal constipation. This happens when poop stays too long in the intestines. Not enough water or concentrated formula could be the cause. Try giving water between feedings or ask the doctor about adjusting the formula. This should help the baby poop comfortably!

Your daughter is experiencing symptoms commonly associated with respiratory infections, such as chest congestion, cough, and a cold. These can be caused by viruses, allergies, or irritants in the environment. To alleviate her discomfort, consider using a humidifier, warm fluids, and over-the-counter medications like expectorants or antihistamines, which can help in easing congestion. I am 12 years old and I am a female who has been having chest pain for at least 2 and a half years now. It has been happening with sharp pains either my left arm or right arm. It hurts very badly and sometimes I feel very sharp pains near the chest area. Though breast pain may not have to do with this but I get it when I'm not on my period or when my period isn't even yet to come. Today I have felt a sharp pain near the breast area , underneath them. The chest pains as well come every so often. There were times were I wasn't able to sleep due to the pain near or on my chest. I have told my parents and seen a doctor once but the doctors said nothing about it at all and only talked about my allergies. So I'm concerned if this is bad because there are times I think I wont be alive by the next day because of the pain. Maybe I am just overthinking but I don't want to not know what's going on. So please answer my concerns if you can.
Female | 12
Chest pain at a young age can be related to various causal factors, such as muscle strain or an anxiety attack. However, there can also be a connection to the sharp pain in the arms. You must see a cardiologist. Next time remember it is vital to point out chest pain including other symptoms. Based on this observation and your results, they may suggest the needed tests.

This spider bite may show pain, redness, or itching with a blister forming at the site. You will need to wash the bite location well with some soap and water then put on an ice pack so that it does not swell too much. Keep an eye on it for a few days after any other problems appear call a pediatrician.

Fever 100.03 give dolo Cyrup before one hour
Male | 1
Your temperature being slightly high at 100.03°F indicates a fever. An infection, perhaps the flu or a cold, could cause this elevated body heat. To alleviate the symptoms, consider taking dolo syrup. This medication can reduce fever and improve your overall feeling. However, it's crucial to rest adequately, maintain proper hydration by drinking ample fluids, and prioritize comfort during this time. If the fever persists or additional concerning symptoms arise, please visit a pediatrician.

My son is 3 years 7 months old. He is having ADHD and delayed speech problem. Last month he suffered from hand foot mouth infection but he recovered in few days. After that infection, his nature has changed a lot. He cries without any reason. When he gets up in the morning he cry for almost an hour. In day time also he starts crying at any time and we are unable to understand any reason for that. We try to do all the things which he likes but he only stops crying after 1 to 2 hours. The same problem happens at night also. On some days he wake up at 3-4 am and starts crying and after an hour he stops and then go for sleep. As he does not speak anything we do not understand what problem he is facing. He is also undergoing therapies for ADHD and speech delay. But at therapy centre also he keeps on crying. He was moody earlier also but after HFM infection this crying problem has increased a lot. Pls guide.
Male | 3
It sounds like your son's recent changes in behavior might be linked to his recovery from the hand, foot, and mouth infection. Such infections can sometimes cause lingering discomfort or changes in behavior. Given his ADHD and speech delay, it is crucial to consult with his pediatrician and a child psychiatrist to evaluate any underlying issues. They can provide a thorough assessment and tailor interventions to help manage his symptoms.

Male | 6
It sounds like your child has been experiencing a series of distressing symptoms, including skin rashes, abdominal pain, and general discomfort. These could be linked to allergies, infections, or gastrointestinal issues. The scrotum pain and redness in the eyes may suggest inflammation or irritation, possibly from an allergic reaction. It's essential to maintain hydration and follow medical advice on medications. Observing closely for any changes and ensuring a suitable environment can help. If symptoms persist or worsen, please consult a pediatrician for a thorough evaluation and tailored treatment.

My toddler has severe food allergies. How can I ensure he gets a balanced diet while avoiding allergens, and what are some safe, nutritious alternatives?
Female | 33
A diet that is complete and free from allergens is essential. Milk, eggs, soy, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish are the most commonly found allergens. It is important to search for other alternatives that are safe and nutritious, such as fruit, vegetables, rice, quinoa, beans, and meats. A dietitian can support you in developing a customized meal plan to make sure your child gets all the necessary nutrients. It is also necessary to monitor the symptoms of rashes, stomachache, vomiting, and shortness of breath that might appear after consuming food. If you recognize any of these symptoms, the advice is to stop feeding them that food and to contact an allergist for further testing and evaluation.

My son 4yrs old suffering with Dengue and black motion.is it dangerous?
Male | 4
Your son's ailments sound concerning. Dengue fever, spread by mosquitoes, causes severe illness. Black motion likely indicates gastrointestinal bleeding, which can dangerously lower blood pressure.
