What is this dark patch on my wrist?
Hi, I’ve noticed a darker patch on my wrist that seems slightly raised. It hasn’t changed in size or color, and there’s no itching or bleeding, but I’m worried about it. Can you help me understand what it might be?

Moles typically appear as dark spots on the skin. While some moles may be slightly raised, if they remain stable and don't change in appearance over time, it's generally a good sign. you can always consult a dermatologist for a better opinion.

i randomly got a red lump on my upper back . it’s red but it does not hurt . it’s swore and there’s like a black hole in the middle of it too . it’s also pretty warm . i would think it’s a blackhead but i’m not exactly sure
Male | 24
It seems like you could be suffering from what is known as folliculitis, or skin abscess. These usually start as red lumps that are painful when touched and often contain pus inside. They are caused by bacteria entering the body through cuts on the skin but can also occur near hair follicles if they become infected. It’s important not to try and squeeze them because this could push the infection further into your system; instead, apply a warm flannel or hot water bottle wrapped in a towel over the area several times a day which should help draw out any trapped matter. If this issue continues, you can visit a dermatologist.

It's important to get examined by a healthcare professional, like a dermatologist or a urologist, to diagnose any concerns regarding HSV-1 or HSV-2 accurately. Avoid self-diagnosis based on appearance, as it can be misleading. Early detection and proper medical guidance are crucial for managing any potential infections.

I have a bad case of chaffing and heat rash on my personal areas..I got cream that works at home in the AC.. but when I'm at work in the heat it flares back up... What can I do??
Male | 43
You are likely experiencing a heat rash and chafing in your private areas. This usually happens because perspiration becomes trapped against the skin thereby irritating. Signs may include redness, itching, and sometimes little bumps. To assist with this, tighten any loose-fitting clothes, stay cool, and ensure it’s dry down there. Apply some soothing ointment and be sure to take breaks if possible.

If you have active pimples, acne, and dark spots, it’s best to see a dermatologist. They can give you proper treatment to clear your skin and reduce dark spots. Avoid using harsh products on your own as they might make things worse.

I am a 16 year boy, I am having issues in the areas near my penis. My thighs and upper part of penis, I can see some rashes of red colour and severe itching when in contact with water. I have another problem in my penis. My lower part of penis has some white pimple like lines all around and is it normal or something else. I have a 16cm penis is it ok for me.
Male | 16
The red rashes accompanied by intense itching can be a sign of fungal infection or irritation. Fordyce spots, which are harmless, could be what the white pimple-like lines on the lower part of your penis are. Use OTC antifungal cream on the rash and ensure the area remains dry and clean. If your symptoms persist, visit a dermatologist for further diagnosis and treatment.

Doctor, my hair falls a lot and breaks. Can you tell me the solution so that my hair starts growing and becomes silky?
Female | 15
This can happen from things such as stress, poor diet, or using harsh hair products. To grow your hair and make it silky again, try eating a well-rounded diet full of fruits and vegetables along with drinking plenty of water. Also, use gentle sulfate-free shampoos, conditioners, and other styling products on your locks.

I have infection from last 1 week almost in my penis foreskin
Male | 19
It seems likely that you might be feeling issues like swelling, redness, or pain in the area. Infections can occur due to many factors, such as bad hygiene, irritation, or sexually transmitted diseases. It is highly important to keep the hygiene level by washing the area very gently with a mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or irritants as much as possible. Still, based on your symptoms' long-term duration and their precise nature, I truly advise you to consult a urologist for a full examination and further treatments.

My toe nails are changing to a yellow color..also I have skin peeling between my toes and it hurts very much.. can you prescribe me anything for it..I'm guessing it's athletes feet and toe nails fungus
Female | 40
Your symptoms sound like athlete’s foot and toenail fungus. An athlete’s foot can cause your nails to turn yellow, make the skin on your feet peel off, and make your toes hurt. The fungus that leads to athlete’s foot loves warm, damp areas – like sweaty feet. You can use over-the-counter antifungal creams on your skin and nails to treat it. Also, try to keep your feet clean and dry so they are less appealing to the fungus.

I have acne issue from last 3 months
Female | 23
Acne is quite common. It causes pimples, red spots, mostly on your face, chest, and back. Hair follicles get clogged with oil and dead skin cells. Hormones, genetics, and stress can make it worse. To improve acne, wash your face twice daily with gentle cleanser. Don't pick or squeeze pimples. Use oil-free products. If acne persists despite efforts, see a dermatologist for advanced treatments.

Your daughter might have vitiligo, a common skin condition that causes white patches on the skin. It doesn’t cause pain or itching but can spread over time. The exact cause isn’t clear, but it may affect the immune system. While treatments are available, managing the condition can be challenging. It’s important to consult a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis and discuss the best treatment options for your daughter.

Female | 50
HPV, especially type 45, is primarily spread through direct skin-to-skin contact, mainly sexual. The chance of transmission through shared clothing is low. However, considering your mother's health condition and her rheumatoid arthritis, it’s good to be cautious. Encourage her to see a gynecologist for proper advice and peace of mind.

Skin infection in lower waist area

A skin infection was likely happening in the lower waist region. These infections happen when bacteria enters tiny cuts or hair follicles. You might notice redness, warmth, pain, and sometimes pus oozing. Keeping that area clean and dry is crucial. An over-the-counter antibiotic cream can help clear the infection. However, if no improvement occurs, visit a dermatologist.

I understand you're dealing with skin itching. Itching can occur when your skin becomes dry and rough, often due to not drinking enough water, using harsh soaps, or cold weather. To manage it, make sure to drink plenty of water, apply moisturizer gently, and avoid harsh soaps. Also, protect your skin from the cold by wearing gloves and scarves.
