Hi, My dad had oesophageal cancer 8 years ago. We treated it with surgery followed by chemo. After 8 years, we observed recently that my dad has cancerous lesions in lungs and one small lesion in brain. Doctors have said, they will immediately remove the lesion in brain via SRS radiation. Followed by Chemo or Immunotherapy for Lungs. We are awaiting biopsy of lungs. But we want to know what are the best hospitals for Lung cancer especially for Chemo, Targeted chemo or Immunotherapy in Hyderabad, Chennai or Bangalore. (all locations we can easily transport my father especially in these Covid times)

My aunt has heart cancer and she’s on the last stage. The doctor said that there’s no treatment but I’m hoping for a cure? Is there any possibilities?
Female | 49
Heart cancer is a very vague term. Usually atrial myxoma is the most common tumour in the heart. And the only best option of treatment of atrial myxomas is surgical removal. Whether the case is operable or inoperable will decide the prognosis.

Hello, I have a few questions as follows: 1. Which is the best treatment for Lymphoma cancer with stage 2? 2. Can Immunotherapy alone can cure my cancer completely? 3. What will be the side effects of Immunotherapy? 4. How do the blood tests help in monitoring the cancer progress? 5. Which treatment has a speedy recovery while comparing immunotherapy Vs chemotherapy or radiotherapy?
As per my understanding you want to know about the best therapy for lymphoma stage 2. Treatment and Prognosis of a cancer depends on many factors, which include the type of cancer, its stage and the age and general condition of the individual. The treatment for stage 2 lymphoma depends on the type of lymphoma, medical history of patient, and others. Line of treatment is mainly chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and stem cell therapy. Any modality of treatment depends upon the condition of patient, his age, type and stage of cancer. Treatment is stage wise. Immunotherapy is newer treatment and side effects may be mild to severe like skin reactions, flu-like symptoms, body ache, diarrhea, headaches etc. Regarding blood test ,most of the investigations are on similar pattern which are use to diagnose the disease with few variations. But choice of treatment depends on the clinician's decision and as per the response of patient. Consult an oncologist - Best Oncologist In India. Hope our answer helps you.

can you take hrt after breast cancer
Female | 33
After breast cancer hormone replacement therapy is usually not recommended. HRT needs careful consideration. It may not be suitable particularly if your cancer is sensitive to hormones. Having a thorough conversation with your oncologist about what suitable for you is most important.

My nephew has a form of cancer in the form of a lump above the rib cage, which has now affected his lung. Is there a cure for this type of cancer? The doctors said that he needs marrow so what you think please answer me quickly.
Male | 12
Without knowing more about the type and stage of cancer he has, it's difficult to say much about his particular case. Bone marrow transplantation is done to treat some types of cancer, particularly those that affect the blood and bone marrow, like leukemia and lymphoma. So if the doctors have said so, you must follow. If yoou're cncerned you may take a second opinion from oncologists in India.

My name is Pratima. Just a few days back my grandmother was diagnosed with colon cancer treatment (1st stage). She is 75 now. As she is quite aged, is there any chance of growing again? Or is there any life risk even post operation? As she is quite aged we are really worried. Please help.
Surgery is to be done to get the disease out of body and prevent it's spread elsewhere in body. There is always a chance of spread of disease in Colon cancer, so regular follow ups with oncologist are very important to check any spread. Age factor does matter in case of recovery post surgery. General condition of the body matters alot for proper recovery post surgery.

Curing colon cancer at stage 4 is difficult but it is not impossible. The primary treatment for stage 4 colon cancer is chemotherapy, which aims to shrink the cancer or in some cases radiation therapy is used. Consult an oncologist who can recommend a proper treatment plan for you.

I have no lumps, no changes in breasts etc. But I have pain in my armpit. It isn't there all the time, but I feel it throughout the day. Has anyone else had this? Is it just hormonal or could this be a sign of tumor and breast cancer?
Pain in the arm pit can be due to many reasons, infections and breast pathologies being most common. Hormonal changes are also associated with some pain in the arm pit areas. But it is always wise to get yourself examined by a Surgical Oncologist to rule out any pathologies associated with breasts. Self examination is the key to early diagnosis and management of Breast Cancers. Undergoing a simple Mammography can rule out any queries regarding breast lumps or tumors.

Osteoradionecrosis is a serious condition that occurs after radiation therapy, and while Ayurveda offers supportive care to improve overall health, it may not fully cure this condition without surgery. My brother has malignant lesions in his lungs and Doctors have stated that the lesion must be removed at the earliest using Chemotherapy or immunotherapy. However, we'd like to know which hospitals in Nagpur are the best for lung cancer, particularly for Chemo, Targeted Chemo, or Immunotherapy.
There is no details available regarding the stage of disease and histopathology report which usually decides the type of treatment. Oncologist usually advice biopsy, PET-CT scan, MRI Brain to stage the disease. Treatment depends on the stage of disease. In stage III and IV, we usually give chemotherapy. Targeted therapy or immunotherapy is advised depending on certain biomarkers and stage of disease.
