It sounds like the mark from the blade cut has been a concern for you. Over time, scars can change in appearance; they may become raised, discolored, or itchy due to natural healing processes. To address this, options include topical treatments, laser therapy, or surgical removal, depending on the scar's characteristics. I strongly encourage you to consult with a dermatologist who can assess your situation and recommend the best course of action tailored to your needs. Professional evaluation ensures safe and effective care, helping you achieve the desired results.

Under legs abscess problem plz suggestions any tube medicine

Male | 26

This is often caused by a bacterial infection in a hair follicle or sweat gland which gets infected. To heal it, you may need to consult a dermatologist. After removing it, they may also use an antibiotic cream or pills to get away from the infection. Please clean the area carefully and do not press or attempt to rupture the abscess yourself.

I m 19 years old female girl.i m suffering from darker skin and become darkspot problem on face area.please suggest me best skin whitening and brightening body treatment and also suggest best treatment for removing darkspot

Female | 19

Darker skin and dark spots can occur from excessive sun exposure, hormonal changes, or skin inflammation. This issue can be solved by the application of skin whitening and brightening treatments which contain substances such as vitamin C, niacinamide, or kojic acid. Also, think about treatments like chemical peels or laser therapy to aid in the removal of dark spots. To ensure your skin's safety, always wear sunscreen to shield it from the sun and other harmful rays.

Stitches on web of hand have opened and now there is pus and earlier a large red mass on stiches

Male | 14

You may have an infection in the stitches on your hand. When pus comes out, it indicates that there is probably bacteria which is causing the infection. This might have occurred if the wound was not kept clean. If there was a large red lump previously, it could have been an abscess. It’s crucial to have this seen by medical professional because, without proper care, things like these can worsen.

I have been bit by a person in my hand a few says ago. The area is red now. What should I do about it?

Female | 24

The redness you see might be a cause of infection. It can be managed by washing the area properly with soap and water. Next, put an over-the-counter antibiotic ointment and cover it with a bandage. If the redness starts to expand, you get a fever, or if there is pus, seek medical help immediately.

I have oily skin and acne problem. The problem is that scars are not removed completely. Some are getting light but not removed completely. I recently heard about microdermabrasion for acne scars from one of my friends. Does it really work? I am 23 now. Does it have any side effects?

Female | 23

If you have oily skin and acne problem, sometimes if acne is severe they might burst or get infected or if you pick your acne too much they might result into scars. As per Dermatologist there are 5 types of scars which are commonly encountered.
1. Ice Picks Scars: Very small in surface but deep and narrow below.
2. Roll-Over Scars: Wide but borders are difficult to appreciate
3. Box-car Scars: wide and borders can be easily appreciated.
4. Open pores like Scars: Small Ice Pick Scars
5. Hyper-trophic Scars:
so the treatment for the scars depends upon the type of scars. Commonly treatment which are effective are TCA cross, subsition treatment, microneedling, microneedling radiofrequency, PRP treatment, CO2 Laser, RBM Glass laser and even dermal fillers.
As you are 23 and you are asking about microdermabrasion, it removes superficial skin layers and it is effective only for superficial scars which are not very deep. This might require you multiple sessions like 8-10 sessions for it to work. Instead of Microdermabrasion you can go for microneedling, microneedling radiofrequency which will require less number of sessions and on top of it you can add PRP to it.

Male | 25

You suffered from a pimple on your cheek that is currently a scar, which is very common. The skin may leave a mark after the healing of a pimple. Whenever skin tries to fix itself these scars form. To make the spot where it is blended with your natural complexion, use remedies such as lotions containing retinol or vitamin C.
