The excessive sweating of the palms and the feet is known then as Palmar hyperhidrosis and Plantar hyperhidrosis respectively. This can be treated by a dermatologist. They may prescribe antiperspirants, iontophoresis, Botox injections, or even surgery in cases of severe hyperhidrosis.

Hi, I had sclerotherapy done on Wednesday last week. My veins look a lot worse, they as re purple and more visible, there is no brusing and they are also quite sore to the touch/I can feel tiredness in my legs. My doctor said I may have had an allergic reaction to the therapy because I am on holiday in a hot country (Brazil) and prescribed me an antihistamine. Will the veins eventually fade or will I need more treatment?

Female | 28

Bruising and discomfort after sclerotherapy are natural which normally resolves within a few days. But since you said your veins look worse and are more visible after the procedure could indicate a complication. It's good that you have already spoken with your doctor, but still experiencing discomfort or have any concerns, follow up with them promptly.

In some cases the veins may fade on their own over time, but if the issue is related to the sclerotherapy procedure, additional treatment can be needed. Its best to follow up with your doctor to discuss your options and determine the best treatment.

A few days ago I noticed a bump on my head and I thought I just hit my head. After a couple days it started to get a bit bigger and I noticed that it was a pimple on my scalp. I popped the pimple and removed all the pus and it started to bleed for a little bit but it shortly went away. I went to take a look at it today and I noticed a small circular bald spot about 1 cm in diameter where the pimple used to be. When touching the area with my hand I noticed that the hair in that area is really sensitive and can fall out if I rummage my hand through that area. Is this a concern or is this something normal?

Male | 21

A small circular bald spot on the scalp after popping a pimple is not uncommon, but if the area is sensitive and hair is falling out, please see a dermatologist to rule out infection or other underlying conditions.

looking inflammation or can say Balanitis infection on front skin. Please suggest which doctor to consult Dermatologist/Urologist/Analogists or sexologist.

Male | 60

Balanitis is an inflammation of the skin located at the front end of the penis. If addressing the issue, professionals, such as dermatologists and urologists, who are experts in skin and urinary system disease may be consulted. The issue of balanitis springs from a lack of cleanliness, some skin conditions, or various infections. Recommendations from doctors include cleaning the area, prescription of medicated creams, or, if there is an infection, they might need to take antibiotics.

I had toenail torn off now a little black dot on skin toe is painful

Female | 50

It is very common to see these symptoms if you have undergone an episode of toenails being torn off. This is generally due to subungual haematoma. The foot infection can be prevented by visiting a podiatrist or a specialist for treatment.

The back of my neck has swollen a lot and I am not feeling any pain at all, so what should I do for it? My name is Hema Maurya and I am 18 years old.

Female | 18

It seems your neck is a bit swollen but you are not feeling any pain. This could be caused by an infection or a swollen gland. Sometimes, it can occur without any serious reasons as well. However, the priority is to have a doctor take a look at it to be on the safe side. They may have to conduct some tests to be able to tell what is going on.

Can you wear acrylics nails for a tonsillectomy

Female | 15

Acrylic nails aren't recommended before tonsillectomy surgery. Those fake nails could harbor germs, making hand hygiene tricky. During tonsillectomy, doctors remove tonsils, often due to infections or breathing issues. Clean hands prevent surgical site infections, so natural nails are only for this procedure. Wait until you've recovered fully before getting acrylics again.
