Hi, I had sclerotherapy done on Wednesday last week. My veins look a lot worse, they as re purple and more visible, there is no brusing and they are also quite sore to the touch/I can feel tiredness in my legs. My doctor said I may have had an allergic reaction to the therapy because I am on holiday in a hot country (Brazil) and prescribed me an antihistamine. Will the veins eventually fade or will I need more treatment?
Female | 28
Bruising and discomfort after sclerotherapy are natural which normally resolves within a few days. But since you said your veins look worse and are more visible after the procedure could indicate a complication. It's good that you have already spoken with your doctor, but still experiencing discomfort or have any concerns, follow up with them promptly.
In some cases the veins may fade on their own over time, but if the issue is related to the sclerotherapy procedure, additional treatment can be needed. Its best to follow up with your doctor to discuss your options and determine the best treatment.

Male | 17
Hair loss is one of the most common conditions since minoxidil is often used as a medication to cope with this problem. Therefore, if it does not work for you, then your primary route of action would be to consult a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.

I have high cholesterol and high glucose. I also have numbness and sometimes pins and needles in my feet. I only drink water and eat healthy I just need to find our what is the best thing to clear up my rash and this itchiness please! It's depressing me so much I don't even want to leave my house
Female | 40
The sweating and rash on your neck and chest, as well as high cholesterol and glucose levels, are all symptoms that can be associated with a condition known as diabetes. The numbness and pins and needles in your feet are evidence supporting this. To clear up the rash and itchiness, sugar level management is the major thing. Healthy eating and physical activity can be wonderful alternatives to start with. A visit to a dermatologist is essential for an accurate diagnosis and treatment strategy.

I am an 39 year old lady I am having dark acne , my chin is so black I am having black heads and white heads my skin is getting to dull . How these all problems believe my face? Hope you can help me
Female | 39
This could be because you have blackheads and whiteheads. They can be the ones that dull your skin. Acne is caused by the build-up of clogged pores, too much oil, and bacteria. Washing your face with a gentle cleanser, not squeezing the pimples, and using non-comedogenic skincare products that won't clog pores are some ways to help. Visit a dermatologist for more tips.

I am facing a huge hair loss and my hair is thinning. I don't know if it is my local water problem. so please recommend me some tips
Female | 18
Hair loss can be frustrating, and it’s a common issue that many people experience. There are several reasons, including stress, diet, genetics, and certain medical conditions. If water quality isn't the cause, it's important to consider your diet. Reducing stress, using gentle shampoos, and making dietary adjustments may help. However, if hair loss persists, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist who can evaluate underlying health issues.

Dear Dr. Ganesh Avhad, My name is Dr. Katarina Popovic. I am writing to you on behalf of my cousin who has a medical condition where your expertise would be appreciated. My cousin is a male in his early forties. Twelve years ago he was diagnosed with Acne keloidalis nuchae. There were three operative attempts to remove the acne, he was on various antibiotic therapies, also a therapy with Volon ampoules - all without any improvement. The acne are often bleeding. We were wondering if you have any recommendation for my cousin’s treatment. Looking forward to hearing from you. Best, Dr. Katarina Popovic
Male | 43
Acne keloidalis nuchae is characterized by the emergence of bumpy and painful acne on the back of the head and neck. This is a result of inflammation of the hair follicles. A dermatologist may recommend laser therapy or steroid injections to minimize inflammation for treatment. It is also advisable to keep the area clean to avoid infections.

A few days ago I noticed a bump on my head and I thought I just hit my head. After a couple days it started to get a bit bigger and I noticed that it was a pimple on my scalp. I popped the pimple and removed all the pus and it started to bleed for a little bit but it shortly went away. I went to take a look at it today and I noticed a small circular bald spot about 1 cm in diameter where the pimple used to be. When touching the area with my hand I noticed that the hair in that area is really sensitive and can fall out if I rummage my hand through that area. Is this a concern or is this something normal?
Male | 21
A small circular bald spot on the scalp after popping a pimple is not uncommon, but if the area is sensitive and hair is falling out, please see a dermatologist to rule out infection or other underlying conditions.

looking inflammation or can say Balanitis infection on front skin. Please suggest which doctor to consult Dermatologist/Urologist/Analogists or sexologist.
Male | 60
Balanitis is an inflammation of the skin located at the front end of the penis. If addressing the issue, professionals, such as dermatologists and urologists, who are experts in skin and urinary system disease may be consulted. The issue of balanitis springs from a lack of cleanliness, some skin conditions, or various infections. Recommendations from doctors include cleaning the area, prescription of medicated creams, or, if there is an infection, they might need to take antibiotics.

I have a bump on my head and it has been there for a bit possibly a cyst am i ok?
Female | 14
A cyst is an enclosed sac filled with fluid. It forms under the skin as a lump. Cysts may feel tender, and they grow slowly over time. Doctors should examine unusual bumps to identify them. Most cysts are harmless, but removal might help if it bothers you or keeps growing. If it doesn't cause issues, leaving it alone is also okay. However, getting it checked by a dermatologist provides peace of mind.

I am 22 Male, my skin on underneath the foreskin of my dick is gone, like I think it’s due to the friction of my hand rings while masturbating
Male | 22
You may be suffering from some irritation on the skin under your foreskin. This could be due to the skin rubbing or rubbing a part of the ring that may have happened during masturbation. The nearby skin could be red, have a sore, or in some cases, may even have cuts. To enhance it, control the area from more friction and keep it clean and dry. If it doesn't improve, you might want to talk to a dermatologist.

The back of my neck has swollen a lot and I am not feeling any pain at all, so what should I do for it? My name is Hema Maurya and I am 18 years old.
Female | 18
It seems your neck is a bit swollen but you are not feeling any pain. This could be caused by an infection or a swollen gland. Sometimes, it can occur without any serious reasons as well. However, the priority is to have a doctor take a look at it to be on the safe side. They may have to conduct some tests to be able to tell what is going on.

I have private area itching and white patches small bumps ..I using candid b but no result
Male | 29
You may have a yeast infection known as candidiasis. This could cause itching, white patches, and small bumps in private areas. The candid B cream you are using may not be strong enough; try clotrimazole antifungal cream instead. Keep the area clean and dry, and wear loose clothes. Avoid using scented products down there as they can make it worse. If these signs do not improve, seek advice from a dermatologist.

I have rednesses, swelling and itching around my penis
Male | 29
There might be a skin irritation near your penis. This could be due to sweating, using strong soaps, or wearing tight clothes. The redness, swelling, and itchiness are the main symptoms of this. To make it better, first keep the area clean and dry, secondly, wear loose-fitting clothes, and thirdly, avoid using harsh chemicals. If it doesn't improve after a week, it's better to have it checked out by a dermatologist.

Can you wear acrylics nails for a tonsillectomy
Female | 15
Acrylic nails aren't recommended before tonsillectomy surgery. Those fake nails could harbor germs, making hand hygiene tricky. During tonsillectomy, doctors remove tonsils, often due to infections or breathing issues. Clean hands prevent surgical site infections, so natural nails are only for this procedure. Wait until you've recovered fully before getting acrylics again.

good day I am one of those who suffer from alopecia, my hair is almost gone until now my hair has not stopped falling, I want to know what is the most effective medicine to stop the falling and to grow my hair again . Right now I saw a dermatologist and what he gave me for my scalp was alpicort f. I also want to know if alpicort f is more effective than minoxidil? I am very grateful for your response.
Female | 39
Hair loss can feel tricky, but you're wise to see a dermatologist. Thinning hair, called alopecia, could be from genes, stress, or other health reasons. Alpicort F reduces scalp inflammation, while minoxidil helps hair grow back. Both may work well! Your doctor's guidance is crucial.
