Balanitis happens when the skin covering the head of the penis becomes red, itchy, and swollen. Sometimes there is a discharge with it. Poor hygiene or a yeast infection usually causes this. To help it go away, clean the area every day and keep it dry. Also, use a mild soap and water. You can try an antifungal cream too. But if that doesn't work, go to a dermatologist for help.
