Why do I have itchy bumps on inner labia?
I am an 18-year-old girl who has been experiencing small white itchy bumps on my inner labia. They look similar to hair bumps or pimples. I've had them for about 6 years. They did go away at one point but later showed back up. I've gotten them after shaving.

You might be suffering from ingrown hairs or folliculitis on your inner labia. The condition can develop after shaving when the hair starts to grow back and then grows into the skin. It is a very common condition that is usually not serious. To prevent this, you may try gentle shaving techniques or completely avoid shaving in that area. Bacterial infection and ringworm are two different things. Ringworm is fungal infection that presents rings generally over the areas where there is more sweating like thigh area, under the breast or armpit area and that is to be treated by anti-fungal medication for long time like 1-2 months. Bacterial infection is the one which is present with the puss and boils and has to be treated with antibiotics. Fungal infection on the scalp is very uncommon in adults and its only a problem of pre-school children. Proper diagnosis is required for the treatment to work. Consult a dermatologist for the same.
