why is my appendix sent to lab after appendectomy? Is it done for every patient as standard? Or did they find anything unusual during surgery?
Male | 23
The purpose of sending the appendix to the lab after an appendectomy is to perform histopathological examination. This examination allows pathologists to analyze the tissue for any signs of inflammation, infection, or other abnormalities. It is a basic step to make sure that patient's overall health is fine and nothing else that requires further treatment. Patients should talk to their surgeon or doctor for any doubts or questions regarding their medical procedure.

A.o.A...my mother of 85, completely on bed she is a diabetic. Today she is sweating slightly.
Female | 85
Excessive sweating might signal her blood sugar is dipping low. That's common for folks with diabetes. Give her something sugary - a candy or juice should do the trick. Also, check those glucose readings. Staying hydrated helps too. But if the sweating persists or odd symptoms come up, don't hesitate to loop in her doctor for advice.

This range is quite high and serious. The first step to lowering uric acid levels is to exclude high purine foods like red meat and sea foods and alcohol. Eating a diet with whole-grain cereals and foods rich in vitamin C could be much more effective. Please see a specialist for prescription

It happens for some minutes and disappear immidiately after taking some rest,,i consulted many doctors and they tells me it is allergic reaction but this sickness is worsening,,what can I do?

You might have exercise-induced urticaria. With this, your body gets deprived of food. It reacts by making skin itch and swell. The body releases histamine, a substance causing allergic reactions. Your case relates to lack of food. Manage it by eating small, frequent meals. This keeps blood sugar stable. It may prevent reactions. If issue continues, see a doctor. I'm suffering from fever since 2 days with body ache, headache and Little cough. I think I've catched cold but it might be some other reason. I've taken 3 paracetamol tablets in last two days. I feel much better today but symptoms still exist. Please help with that. Recommend medicines and other non medical care.
Female | 20
Many people have viral infections. They make your body feel hot, achy, and bad. Your head hurts. You cough. Taking medicine like paracetamol helps the fever go away. But the other problems stay because the virus needs time to leave. Resting and drinking lots of water are important. Honey might help your cough. If you don't feel better soon, or worsens, see a doctor.
